Hey guys, I took about 300 mg of DXM (20 gel-caps at 15 mgs a piece). I poked holes in the top of the capsules with a needle and took them so the activation time wouldn't be so long. It was the first time I've ever tried getting high from cough medicine.

    It was definetly an experience.

after about an hour, I started getting a weird feeling in my feet, like they were falling asleep, and then I started to get really overheated and my hands were itchy. I was laying down, and I tried sitting up, and got really disoriented. Every time I opened my eyes I felt very disoriented, so I laid down and put some headphones on.

It really enhanced my feeling of the music, and it was really neat in that aspect, but i could not get up. At All. Everytime I did I got this intense sort of...well it felt something like motion sickness, and I would start swaying and things would get hazy and my head would hurt, so I laid back down.

The music enhancement and feeling of detachment was really neat, but I was wondering why I may have gotten this motion sickness- is it a problem with the dosage (I made sure the only active ingredient was DXM) or something else I can do differently? Also, it only lasted maybe an hour and a half or two hours tops.

    Any help would be fan-freaking-tastic.
    Thanks, luvvies

when i did dxm i took a 4 oz bottle of vicks 44 since thats the only stuff i could find with just dxm as the active ingredient. i never realyl marked the time but i guessed around 4-5 hours was how long it lasted. I remember rolling around alot and liking it and walking was quite hard.

yeah, i got the whole motion sickness thing too. (i tried it for the first time a couple months ago) the nite went pretty well as long as i was just in one place. but then when i was trying to fall asleep (still completely FUCKED UP) my boyfriend called me, and the motion of me rolling over, reaching for my phone, and sitting up to talk to him made me feel really ill. the whole experience of talking to him was just freaking me out (kinda like a bad trip) so i just told him that i would tell him what had happend the next day and that i HAD to get off the phone. i then proceeded to dry heave (i dont kno why i didnt throw up, cuz i definitly had food in my system) for a few minutes and then i layed back down and started feeling better. it disturbed me very much and i doubt i will be doin dxm very often in the future. maybe a few times, but not too often =/

i've had motion sickness before too, but i always did it at the movies, and when i would get up to leave the movie it would be so crazy. i had my first emotional breakdown on dxm, it was pretty horrible, and i said alot of shit i didn't mean, but luckily my b/f understood. when i would be on it, i would get in my bed and roll back and worth, it was an amazing feeling but it made me wanna throw up too. dxm can be powerful, thats why u gotta know what ur doing. :D
