I've been having a heated debate with someone from London. I feel we are having a misunderstanding based on different cultures, OR maybe he's just a fake. So, enlighten me. He speaks about hash as if it were the same thing as skunk or pot in general, and speaks about skunk as if it were a different thing from cannabis. He claims the usual way to smoke cannabis is to mix it with skunk AND tobacco in something called a rizzla(?) Says he has NEVER heard of NOT mixing pot with tobacco to smoke it! Why would anyone want to DO that? He claims that the only times he has ever seen people smoke pot without tobacco is with the "hot knife/broken bottle" method. What the heck is he talking about??? (Sounds like he's smokin' crack to me). So, if you know, give me the lowdown.
they're crazy over there, ecspecially dem brits. they rarely have weed, just hash. at least thats what i hear from the redcoats on the forum. haha redcoats. i wonder if thats offensive. anyways yeah and also they like never smoke it straight always mix it.
in eroupe alot of people roll joints with tabacco and alot of people smoke hash and usely mix it with a littile bud or tabacco here in the US no one mixes weed with tabacco or anything realy for that matter and no one smokes hash here either some people do but its very rare, but yes rolling weed with tabacco is VERY common, smoking hash is different then smoking weed and hot knife is probably the best known method you take a knife heat it up put some hash on it then put another heated knife of top of the hash and smoke it like that, once again in the US no one smokes hash so no one knows or cares about hash smoking method but once again in some parts of the world this is VERY commone
Maybe I can help with this one Here in the UK we call cigarette rolling papers "rizla's" as that is the brand name. We stick 2 papers together, put in some loose hand rolling tobacco, top it off with weed, roll it up and smoke it - we call that a spliff, in the US they call it a joint. the clutural differences are a factor when we are taking about the same thing but you call it one thing and we call it another - very confusing seeing as we speak the same language lol. Hash - also known as resin or soap bar. A solid block of brown resin that we heat up and crumble into joints or mix into flapjacks or cookies. These days the hash we get is low grade rubbish, its not unusual to find bits of ceran wrap etc in it. Year ago the quality was excellent as it came directly from afghanistan or Morocco. These days is made with all the left over shit in someones basement. It is however good to smoke in sisha pipes. Weed - also known as bud, skunk or green. This is the top flowering part of a cultivated then harvested cannabis plant. It is then dried, (although still green and slightly sticky) we then take a small piece, break it up with fingers or in a grinder and make a joint with it the same way as above. (this is the method used in places like Amsterdam and the rest of Europe) "green" is the term used for regular quality weed, and skunk it used to describe high quality potent weed such as white widow etc. Cannabis, pot, etc are just general terms that are used, if you were to ask a dealer here for cannabis or pot, they would ask you if you wanted weed or solid hash. Hot knives is a term used for a lump of weed or hash heated up over a hot flame between 2 knives, when it starts to smoke you cover it with the top of a cut off soda bottle or something and inhale the smoke. Hope this helps?
Just to add - we dont rarely have weed, we have an abundance of it, and you would have a hard job finding anyone in Europe smoking weed without mixing it with tobacco first. We dont use bowls as much as you, we tend to smoke joints instead. If you sit in a cafe in Amsterdam, they have a menu with all the different types of weed you can buy, everything from white widow to Nirvana.
Yeah, pretty much everyone outside the US, and probably Canada (?) mixes their weed with tobacco when rolling joints...and maybe when smoking bowls, but I don't know about that, seems pointless to me. The tobacco is supposed to make the J burn better, which is weird because I, as an American, never mix and my joints always burn fine. I would guess, though, that if you're putting hash in a joint, you'd HAVE to mix with tobacco or it won't burn. But I don't know how common that is (hash in joints)?
Trippin you are correct, it is necessary to put tobbacco in joints that are made with hash. It is pretty common over here as hash is considerably cheaper than weed. An 1/8 of weed in my area is £20, I think thats about $30 (not sure of current exchange rate) but an 1/8 of Hash is only £5 or about 10 bucks. So when money is tight then Hash it is. I personally never smoke the stuff anymore, you cant guarantee the quality and they mix it with all sorts of nasty stuff to bulk it out. The hash I had in Morroco though would rival any good quality weed anywhere else in the world.
seems like hash should be more, because it is more processed than just good ol' weed. Maybe it's less cuz it's easier to transport in bulk?
^^^its alot less over there because their hash is impure and has lots of filler in it... and no we dont put tobbacco in our weed (yuck!) up here in canada lol
oh man everyone saying that they hate the fact of mixing tobbaco with hash.....its the best thing ever....over here (pakistan) we get hash here...and we have to mix it with tobbaco......and smoke it in either cigs (of which the tobbaco has been taken out mixed with hash and put back in) or rizlas...... ppl who start out smoking realllllyyyyy hate making joints..(cigs) .....cause you have to take out the tobacco and take out the big pieces....mix the hash..and then put the mixed stuff back in the cig.........but i love making joints.....i find kinda peace in just doing that whole thing..and making it nice and thick.. its awesome..... and i hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee CIG smoking.....if i try to smoke cigs...i fuck myself up and hate doing it....but somehow when i have the joint i LOVEEEEEE IT
i read some statistics somewhere that people who smoke...are most likely to start smoking the 'herb' and people who only start with smoking mj....are less likely to start cig smoking.
