lets say we have a situation like 28 days after or dawn of the dead ect ect ... can you think of a good castle in the uk that would be ready to fight off the zombie horde ....most of the ones Ive seen are in a shocking state walls falling down and no gates can you think of a good castle in this country
Deal (about 7 miles north-ish of Dover. Just so happens to be where Julius Ceaser landed the first of his troops as well) has a fully intact castle still which was built by Henry VIII. Even has a working portcullis and I THINK its got some catacombes as well, but dont quite me on that last one. Also has a moat that once filled with water would be useable
I'd re-flood the fens and hole myself up in Ely Cathedral, it's on what used to be an Island so them there zombies are gonna have trouble wading through those fen marshes.
http://www.film-locations.co.uk/dealcastle.htm does look a fine castle near to the sea which is allways a good point when dealing with zombie Apocalypse
I'd re-flood the fens and hole myself up in Ely Cathedral, it's on what used to be an Island so them there zombies are gonna have trouble wading through those fen marshes. apparently in land of the dead they swim through a lake and is ely cathedral a good defensive position are there windows the zombies could climb though ? I dont know as never been there, we have a good church at the top of one our local hills that stood out against viking attack so they say so ely might be ok
The problem with zombies is that there are legions upon legions of them. Any fortress meant to hold them out would have to have a tight roof, because the pile of dead zombies outside the walls would accumulate until zombies could simply walk over the dead, which would form a hill up to the top of the castle wall. The zombies that fall into the castle and don't survive? They'll simply be the landing cushion for the legion of zombies following. Of course, the tight roof would prevent air from escaping, so there'd have to be an air vent...which would be covered by hordes of dead zombies that tried to get in. The best bet for zombie horde survival is probably to occupy one of the small islands around Britain. Zombies are too slow and brain-hungry to operate the required machinery to sail or fly to such islands, and any zombies attempting to swim will simply be washed to sea by water currents.
ah ha! So my Isle of Ely plan may still work. Plus there's a canteen in there with endless supplies of carrot cake, bonus.
well then you should kill yourself immediately, life without cake is no life at all. Or alternatively you could live and choose from the wide selection of sandwiches and light refreshments available in Ely Cathedral canteen.
just smoke an extra spliff.....zombies will think yer one of them.... i never "got" the movie 28 days later....why didn't they just go to an airport or a dock.....one of these oil platforms just off the NE coast woulda done them well....
pfft, edinburgh castle is well solid, it could take on any fucking zombie. http://images.google.com/images?hl=...005-36,GGLG:en&q=edinburgh castle&sa=N&tab=wi
I'd choose Newcastle. I reckon there is enough buildings there so that i could constantly be on the move. If you are stuck in one building, they know where to attack, but if you stay in a different safe place every night you might just last long enough to see through the infestation. Plus there is going to be a lot of food around in empty shops\houses, and there will be a steady water supply. You also have the benefit of having a vast supply of weapons that can be made from general household objects.
