I made a tree! I was sitting making jewelry and I decided to make a tree. At first I had wanted to make it to go on a necklace, but it ended up having a life of it's own. It's my first one, I love it :0)

My dads frienmd makes trees like that. shes had a stall at covent garden in london for years. they are a great idea. you should play about with putting nests in them :D she also puts little semi precious stones all over it for leaves and you should play about with bases for it.

Thats wikkid, espeicially for a first one :)

thanks guys! And thanks for the suggestions fleassy :0)

I have 2 friends that make them, and I was always so in awe of them. This one is itty bitty, I think the base is maybe an inch and a half wide, hehe

Very cool, I love it. Does it take a long time with wire craft? It's interested me for a while now but never tried it. I have so many projects now... but was wondering. I picked up a free instruction page on making a tree with those foil type leaves and wire. I use to have one and I loved it but it got old and battered. The beads are a very cool twist. Nice job!!!

    thanks so much you guys!

@ 2shy- Learning to work with wire, for me atleast, was really pretty easy. I started by looking at a bracelet my cousin had made and just figured it out, but I've always sort of been able to take things apart in my head and then make them. Really it's alot of examening (I have a few more pics of the tree, if you want to look at them and see if you can pull it apart just PM me) and then just trial and error. Good luck!
