Hows it goin, Me and a few mates are headin over to A-dam in 20th Jan for my birthday. Cant wait- 3rd time since august. flights are just so cheap at the mo! only i've heard bad things bout january. really quiet, some shops not even open, very limited selection of quality smoke? please tell me it aint so! 1 other question, and dont judge me for it, when we went for first time at start of august we bought some coke off a street dealer (inexperienced, i guess) and i have to say it was pretty dam good. went back in October, bought 2 bags and was fairly crap. Is it possible to get decent stuff regularly anywhere out there. dont mind payin slightly over the odds for quality! Cheers
I'm there a few weeks after you, I always go mid Feb as I prefer it being less manic than peak summer months although it's still busy everywhere especially at weekends. There's no reason why the weed should be any different to any other time and everything is still open worth seeing. As for street dealers, best of luck, I just personally don't give them any of my time or even as far as making eye contact, although once I was walking through Warmoesstraat, one of these dealers offered coke to me, even oppening up the bag infront of me for a free try, 5 seconds later another dealer selling Viagra then as soon as you hit the bridge near Febo, it's almost impossible to cross it without these dealers offering Ecstasy. I've never had anything to do with them, personally.
A couple of weeks ago I was surprised how few dealers were near the pill bridge by the Old Sailor although quite a few had shifted down the street to near the intersections of Bloedstraat and Barndesteeg. I did have Christina, a cute junkie gal offer me a nice bud while I was toking under the railway bridge near Barney's. When I demurred she said well let's get high as she stuffed a large chunk into my pipe. A couple of days later I was nodding out on a side alley near Kalverstraat (four quick white widow hits) when I heard the click clack of her shoes as she entered the alley and we got high again. Since it was our second chance encounter I emptied my change purse into her hand as she was on her way to score. I did refuse her offer to do something to make me feel good though.
