I think everyone here is missing the point of his religion. Maybe its i who have missed the point but dont you see this amazing plan??

IF a religion can be created whereby cannibus is god, then cannibus can be made legal. Something about all religions having special allowances, as long as certain thgins can be proved about the religion's support. IF this religion can be supported and spread over the nations, then it would be possible to make it legal to smoke weed, at least in special 'marijuana churches' or maybe not even restricted to that.

hes eaither really smart, finding this hole in the laws, or hes crazy but hes stumbled across somehting that is awesome.

Im not completely familiar with the laws in america, but im rather sure that this plan could be carried out if enough epople gave its support. and considering that there would be more people supporting this than there are.. say.. bhuddists in america, or even native americans perhaps, then there is definitely a way to get through the legal system. especially claiming that the god itself is cannibus and that cannibus is not jsut an item used in ritual.

actually Bill, this would not my cannabis legal in Amerika. it should be,since freedom of religion is something this country was built on, but this religion wont make it legal. If there was freedom of religion, Rastas wouldnt be persecuted for possessing or smoking herb. I think the only way for it to be legalized if we had a more liberal president, no John Ashcroft, and the DEA ready to admit that cannabis can be used for medical reasons. A religion wont change anything, unless it became okay in most forms of Christianity to smoke weed, but that wont happen either.

 

but doesnt rastafarism use weed jsut as a ritual? this religion poses that god is marijuana. thats wahts different about it. im sure it could go somewhere.

 

or at least you could link it in with the fact that if your part of this religion then having someone discriminate youfor smoking pot could be classified as a civil crime. law is all about the wording, and i think there is somethign here that could be exploited. even if things ive said are wrong, i still think there is something here that can be used.

Rastafari is a recognized religion in amerika, or so Ive read, but Rastas are persecuted for their religious beliefs. cannabis wont be legalized in amerika because of any religion, except the main christian religions in this country. and a religion where weed is god would never be a recognized religion here in amerika

instead of trying to make it legal through a religion, learn the facts about marijuana and inform and teach people the real facts, not the crap that is taught in schools. there are so many gods from so many religions, and this one will just be looked down upon from followers of other religions.

 

this form of legalisation i proposed for thebranch assum,es that the only people who will benefit form it are thsoe who smoke already. everyones trying the whole 'let everyone know teh truth about marijuana' but the fact is that most people will think druggos are jsut that, druggos, so they think we cant be taken seriously, and are criminals, and in some cases are satan-spawn.

i think that alternative forms of legalisation are healthy, and i think its the poeple who keep pushing the traditional methods who really need to pull their heads out of their arses. who cares if this guy is a loony? hes trying something new, he has good intent, and hes not expecting everyone to give him support, only te people who the suport would be benefitting - stoners.

The problem with your claims is taht you appeal to vague texts and make assumptions that the text does not support to make your case. If you sincerely believe your own rhetoric then that is your right and I won't tell you not to, but we also have the right to say you are full of shit and are just trying to exploit a loophole (that does not even exist) for your own personal goals. What makes you so sure the bush in question was not a tomato plant or even a jalapeno plant? Maybe corn is our god. There is as much support for that claim as for the one you put forth. In Scripture, God is an infinite and sentient being. And if your god (weed) has supreme and eternal control over your life and soul, you might want to seek some help from the good ol' rehab clinic.
