i heard a rumour about this. is it possible that they're just coffeehouses, like for coffee? or do they sell weed in them?
I have been to Prague many times and have never heard of such a thing, only rumors. I have been hit up at the Charles Bridge though. Prague is a great city with great beer. I don't expect you would find any good herb there.
ya my friends got sold a really dodgy piece of hash by a really dodgy head. in fact it turned out to be a lump of diesel, but they were too afraid to confront him about it.
Coffeeshops in Prague do not sell weed. A friend of mine who has already been said that you have to look out for certain dodgy street dealers or find the right cafe where they hang out to score some weed, much the same as the UK, in a way. I've never been but plan to go with two friends next year as they are bored of Amsterdam, hope to check it all out then, I hope it really is easy to come across and that the bud is half decent.
ya we're thinking of taking a trip there too, and barcelona. because we feel peer pressured to try somewhere else other than amsterdam! i hate change argh!
Drink the beer (like $1 a litre!) and you won't need weed. Experience it the way the Bohemians do. They invented the lifestyle that hippies love! Dig the old city, it's a museum itself, and check out the music scene from classical to jazz to clubs it's great!
locals told us to go to Chapeau Rouge--it was closed, but some dude sold us some shwag on the street outside...
