The first set was pretty good, China Cat Sunflower was a nice opener. Broken Arrow was a real nice surprise. One of my favorite songs of the night. Alabama Getaway closed the first set nicely. Set 2 was a lot better than the first Viola Lee Blues was unbelieveable. Franklin's Tower was damn good. Then came the encore. US Blues, pretty powerful, good end to the show i guess. But its no 30 min dark star. :)

sorry for a short review i dont got a lot of time, ill be back later for reviews on night 2. hope to see some of u guys there

The sound Friday was WAY too loud even with ear plugs. The show rocked, but the confusion of the Chicago Theater staff didn't bode well. At a couple points, the balcony was bouncing from all the hard grooving heads.

The second night they stopped selling doubles at the bars and managed to keep more of the (cigarette) smokers outside, however, the ushers were a lot more laid back about who and where people were sitting and/or grooving.

I really liked night two better. After the pandemonium of the scene Friday, the band and crowd settled in for a more casual evening Sat. It's always a treat to see P&F in such a beautiful venue.

    Personal highlights include...
Alabama Getaway, Pride of Cucamonga, Operator and Help/Slip/Franklin's
Cumberland Blues, 8 Miles High, Golden Road, Loser, Scarlet Begonias and HURRICANE!
