Okay, so i'm on the pill, but its the low hormone pill, Microgestin Fe 1/20 to be exact, and im not sure if because its low hormones means that it isn't as good at protecting against pregnancy.... and well i was just curious if anyone else knew anything about it, or low hormone pills in general... any help would be GREATLY apperciated :)

low dose hormones are practically just as effective as the regular dose pills... I think the difference is about a half a percentage point. Not enough to worry about. If you are genuinely worried, use condoms as well - the pill doesn't protect at all against STD's, and condoms do help protect. Low hormone pills are usually used if a woman has a bad reaction to the regular dose ones, ie gets chronic yeast infections, is exceptionally moody, but not a bad enough reaction to have to stop hormonal birth control completely
