kinda like how it feels to be one of those cool independant people who hate corporations and scream stuff like "DOWN WITH WALMART AND LIKE UH MICROSOFT TOO"

see i can smash your personality into a stereotype, but that doesnt make it right.

Your response to calling Starbucks Klingons "pretentious" and your weak attempt at insulting me proves my point. It's only a stereotype if it does not truly apply to a clear majority. Hang out in Starbucks and try to talk to people. Even in the PacNW where most people are pretty cool and Starbucks originated. Snobs and pretentious assholes predominate.

I'm not one of those "cool independent people". I could care less what other people are buying. I'm working lower middle class, tend to be very careful with my green pieces of paper and I do not shop at walmart, Kmart or any other mart, but not because I want them to stop driving small business under. I just happen to think that what they sell is crap and there is little they sell that I can't either make myself or get directly from the manufacturer for less money.

    Care to try again?

I love Starbucks. I love it I love it I love it. I don't even drink coffee, either, but they sell the best juice on the fucking planet. Not to mention those enormous fucking cookies. I love Starbucks for the same reason little children love going to Grandma's house, yes, but I am unashamed. Dignity is fucking overrated.

...not all people in coffee shops are yuppies, at least they aren't at my Starbucks. There are a lot of chill people that come in and talk and then just hang out and read all night long. Its just a really relaxing environment there, I've actually started studying there when I'm not working.

But yes, I do work at a Starbucks so I am a bit biased :p. As for the people that wrote about how much they like Chai lattes, try ordering a Soy no water Chai with two pumps of vanilla...its the greatest drink ever.

I really dont think they are crooks, and they do make pretty good coffee...but to the point, they are on Forbes top 50 jobs, and bieng a Barista (coffee maker) is on that list they give stocks out to workers, i mwan i worked there and made 200$ every two weeks and i only worked for like 15 hours every two weeks, and i made 50$ in tips every Monday-
-and they contribute back to the poor countries they get there coffee from, and yeah they do get tax returns but what they get from that goes into the fund for those countries, they are really trying to help out, i mean come on the guy grew up in vermont and started a coffee house obviously a stoner-who else would come up with the name starbucks? really? They do mean good, he just saw the business oppurtunity and seized it.

The starbucks in my area really gives back. Me and many of my friends go there weekly and sit in the comfy chairs and just catch up with eachother. Our starbucks donates a lot of money to our school and the community. They recently matched our contributions to the red cross and provide some of our sports teams with voutures for free coffee and food when they have early morning practices. It's great I think.

    Wrong.

The first Starbucks was opened in the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington.

I work at a donut shop that sells coffee. I hate those yuppie bitches who drink "skinny decaf lattes" and buy babycinos for their bratty kids.

I get so much rage from it.

Also, we sell hotdogs. I hate it when you ask what sauce they want and they go "just sauce". I know they want tomato, but I put chillie instead as thats my idea of "just sauce"

    Just sauce...RAGE.

I always misread "Cafe Nero" as "Cafe Nerd", because of the wierd font it's written in. I consider that a small victory.
