50 gallon bucket for a lowryder? You can tone that down a bit...maybe get multiple pots at like 5 gallons each...

I'd also say get more flouros or even think about spending 100 on a HPS or something

J-I would also recommend an electronic pH meter (or at least a litmus paper test kit), and a combination thermometer/humidity gauge. I found both around here at Home Depot. 15 bucks and change for the pH meter, 5 or 6 bucks for the therm/humidity gauge. A digital pH meter would be even better, but all the ones I've seen so far cost an arm, or maybe a leg.
As far as the electrical hookups go, it's more a matter of the amps you're drawing, rather than the wattage you're using. Each electrical piece you want to include should list the amperage used as well as wattage on the package, or on the part itself. The typical American home socket is wired for ~115/120V AC, and I think 50/60Hz elec cycle. (Big stuff like washer/dryer sockets are wired for ~220/240V AC.) The circuit breakers for each elec'l circuit in your fuse box will have stamped (on each) a number, which is how many amps you can draw from that particular line, before the fuse trips and everything hooked up to it goes dead. Usually thats 20 or 30 amps per standard breaker in a home, you'll hafta look. (Lines servicing heavy electrical appliances will of course be bigger and have higher amp levels.) If your device is listed as using milliamps (mA), then it's only using a portion of 1 amp. For example, one fixture using 13mA=0.13Amps, so 10 such devices draw 1.3 amps total. So just add up the total amps that everything is using, and compare it with the particular circuit breaker for the socket you wanna use in your house. Each breaker will usually service a portion of the house, rather than an individual socket, so you'll hafta add in THOSE power suckers hooked in as well. Just don't go apeshit and overload any sockets/circuits, 'cause the 'rents will get peeved if you burn the house down, or cut off the latest episode of Lost. (We old farts also hate reprogramming the VCR.)
As for the physical wiring, that's a bit much to go into in a forum, and will be to your individual gear anyway. It's actually pretty easy, but you'd be a lot better off either getting a buddy with the know how to do it (there ARE electrical codes to follow), or reading up on it at the library. Hope this helps, and good luck.

You're still gonna need either stronger lights, or plan on less plants

buy a real grwo light, fuck the big rubber maid, buy a few pots, lowrider only needs a gallon pot to grow in, buy a grow light at www.insidesun.com , cheap lights.....and deff fuck the miracle grow soil, if you haev done soo much reading you shoudl have read that it is not good to use soil that all ready haev ferts in it, nevermind chemical fertilizers...so i think that you shoul red a few peoples grow journals and read or purchase a growin book, i have a feeling your goin to grow your lowrider seed for abotu a week and then they will die.....no offense just a feelin..........b_O420

on overgrow they told me the ligthing would be just find and its not miracle grow soil its miracle gro fert. it was the only 1 i found at homedepot but there are plenty of nursery's around here were i can get some good quailty fert. so thats not a big deal it was just kinda of a rough idea of how much it would cost. the purpose of the rubber maid is for a stealth grow so im sticking with that have seen it done plenty of times before so i dont know why you dont think it will work

Heya JG-thought I'd peek in on your thread again (I gotta interest in lowryder)--dude, I put the decimal point over too far! A milliamp = 0.001 amp, NOT 0.01. Sorry 'bout that, hope it didn't cause you any problems or confusion. Don't know enough about ozone to tell you if the generator is a good idea or not, but I do know too much is bad for man, beast and plant, so be careful.Looking forward to seein' some pics. Happy growing. :)
