Here's a few pics of some of my woven items. Pillows from sock loopers, place mats from plastic gracery bags, and me at a recent show. I will get more up later.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

looks great! have you thought of sewing hats or clothing with your woven fabric? i worked for a lady who did this and made some nice sales. think of beautiful rustic cloaks, skirts and tunics!

i weave a bit too, but not much at the moment, i have a 13 month old baby so it's a bit tricky right now, i think my loom is a similiar size as yours, but its a 'jack' type frame so it folds right up. it's a great idea bringing your loom to festivals. people love to watch how things like that are done. i do the same thing with my spinning.

your work and your booth looks great, good luck to you!!

Thanks for the positive feed back. I own a sewing machine and have never plugged it in. I keep telling my self I will get to that next. I think I will let the other more nimble handed mamas sew and I'll stick to the loom. Although I do weave fabric for some of my girlfriends that make clothes.

Very nice! I know missy May's first love is weaving but she sews like a dream too. She posts her sewing but I don't think she has ever posted her weaving. I feel very fortunate to have some things she has woven and cherish my scarf the most probably because I use it constantly.

Thank you. If you ever are in the area and wanna pass the shuttle a few times feel free-haha. I was blessed enough to come from a family were this is a part of our heritage. I was given all 3 looms we own and I have a studio that houses a 12 foot wide loom that is over 200 years old and belonged to my great-great Aunt. I feel that when I weave I am in the presence of those greater female figures who have come before me and give me strength and inspiration. I am glad to share this with others who are so positive. Peace and get warped!
