i have an essay to write and it's due tomorrow!

My teacher pulled it back a day.I have to write an essay and it's based on the martin luther king jr. speech "Beyond Vietnam" and i have to state whether i think our society is thing-oriented or person-oriented.You know things like "machines,computers,profit motives,property rights" and money being considered more important than people.
i was wondering if i could get you opinion or some examples on this.i chose thing-oriented but im thinking I need more backup than i have so far.

i agree also.

and i think things like how money determines a lot in politics (sorry i have a headache so i dont feel like being specific) and like how things like how much a person has, determines how they are treated (like compare how celebrities are treated just cause of their money to how the homeless are treated). things like how to get government aid can be good examples too. when i went to get aid, they wouldnt give me any help even though i have chest pains (minor anemia) just cause i had 2300 dollars.. they told me to spend the 300 on ANYTHING and make sure to keep spending any money i have on ANYTHING to stay below 2000 bucks. the poor stay poor. the rich get richer.

money seems like a weapon now a days.well it always has been and always will be.you kind of hit it.a little off but i like the whole thing about government aid.those bastards!

the descision was this: they were manufacturing trucks with a certain kind of gas tank that had a tendency to blow up in accidents and killed x number of people per year

ford made the descision that it would cost more to change the kind of gas tank then it would cost to pay out the lawsuits to the dead peoples families

in other words, let em die so that they can have their slightly higher profit margin

Thing-oriented, no doubt. In america it's value over values and profit over people. Look at crapitalism: They don't produce things for the people, they produce things to sell and make a profit. They put a price on everythin! Even love and sex.

I am the worst procrastinator in the world. I called off work today so I could do this essay, haha.

 

oh, it is not a post. Usonia is what i cal the USofA, partially because i am an ass, partially for my own reasons.

what i meant was like the poeple being trampled at WalMart and other stores on the friday after thasnksgiving to be the first to buy this or that.

 

Yeah, I went to an art supply store to buy canvases and paint for myself because I desperately wanted to paint, and almost every single parking space was filled. It was kind of sickening.

 

oh haha.i was actually looking for it.yes i heard about that.some guy got punch for cutting in line.all for an xbox!america just loves playing these little games.haha.
