Finally a few ones. I agree with you joker about the whole keeping your mouth shut thing. I like how their songs have different speeds and stuff.
If you can talk about how much you like them, then we can talk about how much we dislike them. It's nothing personal against the band, we're just saying that we don't like their music all that much.
exactly...this thread asked a question 'do you like to listen to SOAD while stoned'...i gave my opinion...I said I wasn't a fan of the band, but i didn't once rag on the OP for liking them...so whats the problem here?
I love to listen to System when I'm stoned ... or any time, for that matter. I'd definately consider myself a big fan though. Other great bands when I'm stoned include: Queens of the Stone Age A Perfect Circle Pantera Kyuss Jimi Hendrix Rammstein I have a wide ranging taste in music, as you can tell.
The problem is that you guys didn't just state you weren't a fan of SOAD, you said they "sucked" "blew" and so on. That is going beyond just saying you don't like or listen to them. I really like a lot of their stuff, but really hate a lot of it. They are really one of the only bands which I have that feeling for. A lot of their songs are just way too strange as far as lyrics and rhythm (or lack thereof) to play for awhile. On the other hand, the songs I do like I REALLY like. On steal this album I like Ego Bran, Mr. Jack, and a few others. Not one of their best CDs IMO. Mezmerize and Hypnotize were good I thought, some great music on there. But there is also more of that stuff that is just way too hard to listen to. I enjoy extremely fast paced, loud, and "hard" rock and even I can't stand listening to some of their songs for more than a few seconds. To me music is something that should flow and fit together well. Many of their songs are just screaming and random instruments. But no reason to hate on them, if you aren't a fan that's fine, just say that. But no reason to insult the band and bash them.
banned wow! i do like system of a down quite a bit but i think if i was to listen to them stoned i'd have a bad experience I'll stick to Floyd

personally...i like phish, and sublime and ben harper and stuff like that when im high...drinkin-country without a doubt..i have nothing against system..they ahve good music...just not when im high..i like chilled and layed back kind of stuff...not hard rock and stuff thats all energetic cuz im just not energetic at all when im high..lol...im high
this thread is about system of a down, not about the policies of hipforums or people who were banned from the marijuana forum..... I dont want all of this stuff leaking over into the music forum now. I will ban any of you who continue to take this thread off topic.....
