what is there to worry about. I finally got the opurtunity to buy a few hits ,and i wanna know what im getting myself into before I drop.
1)most users have minor visual distortions after a number of uses but these fade after afew days/weeks/months. It is not classified as HPPD(hallucinogenic persisting perception disorder) until the sysmptms get severe and refuse to dissapear with abstinence. 2) especially after first/heavy trips some people find reintegrating experiences into reality very difficult and feel almost as if there is somethign not quite real or right with the universe for a few days-weeks. 3) if you have latent psychological problems that might not even be obvious on the surface then repeated, not necessarily frequent, LSD use may trigger schizophrenic episodes. 4) even if you are completely stable LSD gives your mind a battering and persistent and regular use (1 a week or more for many years) will result in symptoms similiar to point 3. 5) You may have a bad trip which is so horrible that you will be permanently affected by it or at least unable to foget it for the rest fo your life as it is so traumatic. But all of these are pretty rare/minor/inconsequential and i would definately recommend it's use.
Nice post generic! It sounds like something that I would've written. You gave extremely accurate descriptions of LSD effects and after effects, according to my experiences! Major Peacenik asks: "...and i wanna know what im getting myself into before i drop." It all depends if you had some type of other psychedelic experience before, such as a powerful pot experience. Then you'd have some idea and preparation. If this is to be your first psychedelic experience, it could be an initial shock. Don't panic! Go with the flow, as long as that flow doesn't cause you any personal harm. It's like going into another space-time dimension. It usually ends from 6-12 hours(mostly 6-8 hours), but it's a slow transition back to reality and not a quick one! LSD is about the DEATH-REBIRTH experience, and you may feel slightly different after tripping, than before tripping! This is natural for acid! It's nice to have an experienced acid guide, the first time. Albert Hoffman (the discoverer of LSD) was asked about the physical damage from LSD and he responded: "No tissue damage!" That old 1960's "chromosome damage" thing was just a media scare and not true (unless you consumed an insane dose of LSD). The dangers are basically psychological and not really physical. generic's post is accurate. Driving, or riding in a motorized vehicle, is alot more dangerous than acid tripping! "Can You Pass The Acid Test?"-KEN KESEY Peace out. Trip out.
Get some thorazine and/or some valium/xanax just to give yourself comfort. You probably won't need them,b ut knowing they're there is a great comfort.
just understand there is nothing to fear, then nothing "wrong" will ever happen if the effects are all psychological, then truly being free-minded shall protect you from yourself just let go,accept all things death, insanity, loss of self, beauty, pain, emptiness let it fly
Well I did lsd about 15 times...so far the problems have been. -Severe lack of motivation - change in perception of self - visual activity 24/24 for over a year (cool, especially with weed ) - a light psychosis last year - Periods of depression. - Increase of introversion - Anxiety -Feeling of not belonging in society. Thats the effect of lsd on a vulnerable person like me. But my first trip was a very traumatic experience. Maybe it started it all The anxiety and demotivation are the worse. But i love lsd...And im alright.
