i went everyday to college last year barefoot. anyone who noticed would just ask where my shoes are.. and i'd say "at home. wheres the dress code?" and they would sorta smile and go "true true".

except some stuck up girls who went "ew thats gross." but i dont care cause i dont want to be friends with people like that anyhow.

I went barefoot to college most of the hot days in Northern California for the last few years. Found my college town to be quite barefoot-friendly actually. Dog days of summer were great barefoot days.

I've been going barefoot up until the time it got really cold, except when getting food. They have a "No shoes, no shirt, no service" sign on all the cafeteria and store entrances, and I don't want to challenge it. That sucks, but walking to and from class and my dorm with no shoes feels great!

I always went barefooted. College is the best time to start, I think. No one questions you, really...

As far as the 3NS cafeteria thing, buy a really odd looking pair of house shoes and wear those in there. They're comfy. :D

That sign might just be there cuz the school probably told them to put it there, it might not reflect their actual views. Even if they didnt tell them to put the sign there, doesnt mean theyre gonna enforce it. Just try to go in BF and just look straight ahead and look confident and walk right up to the counter and get whatever food youre gonna get and I doubt theyll even notice youre BF or care. Im sure that floor will feel good with bare feet.

Why flip flops for the rain? In my experience, when flip flops get wet your feet slide around a lot and the strap winds up hurting my toes. I always find it quite enjoyable to walk barefoot accross the rain covered ground.

Oh no i will go barefoot in the rain but like if its muddy or whatever...my school doesnt have any mats to wipe my feet off on, that way my flipflops get muddy and i can just beat them up against the sidewalk and then go inside with ym clean feet.

Im not old enough yet, but I've gone to highschool with no shoes. I got a few questions but it generally went over fine, seeing as I go to an art school. The dress code is really lax anyways, cause we've got dance majors running around barefoot half the time. =)

Personally, I never had the privilege of going to a lecture barefoot, but a woman I know through work told me her son goes to college with a kid who shows up at his lectures barefoot :D Needless to say, the woman's son was not too impressed  I'm sure the kid is now attending his lectures shod, as this story dates back to September and the university is located in Connecticut. Nothing like a New England winter to make us rethink our decision to go barefoot
