so my supplier moved i wanted some tonight (unlikley) or tomorrow. Im in the denver area. Can anyone help!?! let me know.
you can grow your own easily enough, and i can give you a few pointers in finding information and whatnot (spores can be purchased legally online unless you live in CA or GA) but other than cultivation tips, you'll be hard up trying to find anybody willing to sell mushrooms to someone they met on a message board, and if someone IS willing than you should be even more distrustful of them than they should be of you.... its 100% a bad idea to try to get illegal drugs online. but like i said, we can help you learn to get them for yourself for nearly free.
by the way, i hope you don't mind me saying you look strikingly like a friend of mine...i must say, incredibly beautiful! and the similarity is even wierder because lakewood sounds very much like the name of her apartment complex, woodlake #######....
thanx every one that responded. my little brother posted that. hes 14, and not the brightest crayon in the box. but nesta I would be interested in growin some. Nesta, im not in those appts. Im me though. thanx for the info and complement. And to you others....your shroom teases lol! Thats about as bad as a dick tease lol... or in my case a pussy tease... lol
If you're really interested in growing,go to sporelab.com.It's so simple to grow, the hardest thing is keeping everything sanitary.Anyway, you can order spores and get instructions on how to grow, and get info on what other supplies you need.
why am i confusing.... i didnt post that, i had the site up, my brother wanted shrooms, and so he put that post up. I do shrooms, yes. And i am interested in growing them. Im not the kind of person to buy drugs from someone off of the internet....people are scandalous. hippy or not.
i know you dont live in those apartments, our towns are hundreds of miles apart. i just thought it was a funny coincidence...i even showed that sig pic to a friend of mine and she was silent for a minute and then commented that she thought it looked like the person i was talking about, without me saying anything about it, so i know i'm not crazy! anyway, www.shroomery.org has a lot of good information on how to grow mushrooms, and if you get on google and do a search on "PF Tek For Simple Minds" you should quickly find a very comprehensive tutorial with clear, color photos on the easiest, almost surefire, way to grow Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms. also, most of the time people recommend putting the jars in a pressure cooker at 15psi for 45 minutes, but for PF tek rather than whole grains you can put the jars on a steaming basket in a pot with some water and just steam them for 1 hour and still get pretty good results. just dont do it this way for whole grains or anything else. this last paragraph may sound somewhat cryptic, but if you look into the subject matter at other places a little this should quickly make a lot of sense. like i said, it's important to know the legal status of what you're doing, and you need to know that growing mushrooms, if you're caught, is much more likely to have VERY severe consequences than growing a couple cannabis plants. on the plus side, however, growing mushrooms is quicker that growing pot, it doesnt use special lights which run up your energy bills, it costs very little for the materials (about 50 bucks for a first time grow, compared to a few hundred bucks on proper horticultural equipment for growing pot), it doesnt smell up your house and is not detectable from outside with any special heat or infrared sensitive equipment....in short, if you keep your mouth shut about the matter, you don't get caught. dont grow to sell, dont tell others where you get your shrooms, and you should be ok.
Just plant them outside under a pine tree. The cops can't tell if you grow them or if they popped up by themselfs.
is that safe? I mean how would i do that? Theres no reason for the cops to come to my house and search it anyways. I know my rights. And they would have no reason for a warrent. I dont talk to people about stuff like that. And i rarely have people only. Only people I trust. I dont plan on selling them. Just using them for microscopy) ;-) lol Nesta. Is a pressure cooker a crock pot? I have one of those would that work? When I put them in the cooker do i put them lid facind down or up? And how do you recomend simulating the earth? I saw someone recomended duck tape around the bottom of the jar.. Is that sterile? I was looking on line, but I kept getting sent to university policies lawyers, and employment drug laws. Does anyone know the laws on growing weed and shrooms in co? more specifically lakewood and boulder?
well, the ideas good except that they would never ever ever grow that way. mushrooms are fungi, not plants, you can't just "plant" some "seeds" and wait for fall. its a different life form entirely and needs much more nutrient rich matter to grow on than soil alone would ever offer. even if you have the proper medium to use, without very sterile conditions you've got a snowballs chance in hell to ever see any actual mushrooms. remember, [this form of] fungus isn't photosynthetic, ALL of its nutrition must come from the substrate. i've not seen anything about duct tape on the bottoms of jars, but if its the case it would probably be to keep light out, which is important during colonization. keeping them in an opaque container in a dark, warm closet would work just as well. the tape shouldnt be a problem if sterilized along with the jar, but the disadvantage is you have to guess as to when the cake is colonized to the point where it can safely be removed from the jar. when sterilizing jars of substrate or spawn for growing mushrooms, most people use heat from boiling water. it is well known that the "standard" temperature at which water boils is 100ºC/212ºF, but what most people don't know is that the temperature isn't always the same, it is determined by the air pressure and such. normally water cannot boil at higher than 100º because the pressure will not allow for it. a pressure allows water to get hotter than 100º by very strictly regulating the release of steam, causing pressure outside of the water but inside the pot to increase substantially and thereby allow the water to boil at a much higher temperature. sound dangerous? it can be, but today's pressure cookers are much safer than those in the past, and with a little skill it is just like cooking. sterilizing most substrates is done with a pressure cooker because whatever you're using already may have tons of bacteria and spores of other types of fungi. under normal storage and cooking conditions, they pose no threat to you, however they can and usually will beat your mushrooms to the food supply and take over the substrate, eliminating the possibility of getting mushrooms out of your experiment. when using whole grains and such it is pretty much mandatory that you learn to use a pressure cooker, and to be completely safe about it you should use a pressure cooker to ensure complete sterilization of PF jars. you may well have seen a pressure cooker before, actually. while many of them look like laboratory equipment, they are actually also common kitchen implements used in making jarred preserves and cooking food quickly. here's a nice one: however, it has been found that commercially available organic brown rice flour (and similar mediums such as organic millet or rye flour) carries MUCH less nasties than whole grains, and most of your jars will be satisfactorily sterilized by a good hour long steam at roughly 100º if you're doing it this way, a good tip is to get a big pot and fill it a few inches up with water, and then put in one of those metal folding steaming baskets for vegetables, like this: in the unfolded position. this keeps the jars out of direct contact with the bottom of the pot, which since it is not made of water and is in direct contact with the heat source, may well be much TOO hot, and is likely to crack your jars. you can have water touching the jars, but keep it less than halfway up, as the lids have holes in them and if water gets up there you can overhydrate the jars and ruin them. it is likely to sound confusing, but once you get a basic understanding of how mushrooms grow and how the PF tek works, its as easy as following any other type of "recipe" and if you follow the directions, you'll get results. i dont know the specifics of your laws, but i DO know that its rather rare for mushroom growers to be busted, but it IS becoming more common. mushroom cultivators do not show anywhere close to the types of evidence of their activities as some unprofessional chemists, meth and crack cooks, and pot growers often exhibit to the public. without a search warrant or legal cause to search without a warrant, it is completely undetectable. as long as you can conduct your daily life in a mannerly enough way to avoid any reason for legal run ins, as long as you don't TELL ANYBODY what you're doing and ensure that nobody who can't be trusted finds out, and as long as you dont go selling drugs, you are very unlikely to ever be caught.
haha, thanks...no, i suppose i'm not very endomorphic...in fact, i've worried on occasion about falling over in a strong breeze its more just cause i like the song and figured i'd put something other than my gender in the box, since i could potentially write whatever i wanted. btw, in case there was any confusion, thats definitely not me in my sig pic, its brian molko of placebo. i have plenty of pics in my gallery though.
well thanx for all the info i appreciate. Im a pretty skilled cook and gardener, so i dont think it will be to hard to do this... And, i think brian is one of the prettiest guys ive ever seen.lol
