Your coach is the one to talk to about this. Atl;esast then they can supervise to an extent what you're up to. Just be aware of the problems associated with dehydration. Last thing you'd want is to pass out while jogging.

Also One suggestion is that you may consider increasing muscle over the off season and compete in a higher weight class in the future.

That said, let us know how you went and what method you used. Id; hope Jogging with garbage bags, rather than laxitives and vomiting. I've actualy wondered about the value of having such closed weight catagories. In Submission wrestling tournaments in town, they class are Sub 140, 140-190, 190+ leaves a lot of room for diversity, and allows for some limmitations on how much heavier an opponent will be.

with a two day weight cut your talking pretty much pure water loss. ie time to don the rubber suit and go for a jog. to be safe you dont want to cut more 2-3% of your body weight, anything more is getting verry dangerous. ie for a 200 lb guy 6 pounds max. and thats a lot of water to loose.

also dont eat any thing, this will also help drop a few pounds, but only becasue as you shit your not putting wieght back in. this dosnt always work though, as dehydrating can make you constipated.

stay away from caffeine when your cutting, it has a diurettic effect

10 pounds in week, is more a ataninable goal. but its still not good, as you wind up wearing your body down and sacrificing performance on the mat. If you truely love the sport, the best thing you can do is to manage your weight over the long term. it will keep you in top shape for when your on the mat.

High colonic, dry sauna, and don't shower the day you weigh in. You'll literally absorb water through your skin.

    Pound in the water.

Some PL guys can lose and regain 40lb in eight hours.

    ---------------------

Dehydration symptoms generally become noticeable after 2% of one's normal water volume has been lost. Initially, one experiences thirst and discomfort, possibly along with loss of appetite and dry skin. Athletes may suffer a loss of performance of up to 50%, and experience flushing, low endurance, rapid heart rates, elevated body temperatures, and rapid onset of fatigue.

The symptoms become increasingly severe with greater water loss. One's heart and repertation rates will increase to compensate for decreased plasma volume and blood presure, while body temperature may rise due to decreased sweating. Around 5% to 6% water loss, one may become groggy or sleepy, experience headaches or nuasia, and may feel tingling in one's limbs . With 10% to 15% fluid loss, muscles may become spastic, skin may shrivel and wrinkle, vision may dim, urination will be greatly reduced and may become painful, and delirium may begin. Losses of greater than 15% are usually fatal.

another side afect of moderate to sevear dehydration is the breakdown of muscle tisue do to the bodies inabilty to fllush waste. The muscle breakdown casues more waste, and more waste the the faster muscles break down. left uncehcked, a constant state of dehydration will lead to kidy damage, failure tehn death, if other simptons dont kill your first

    death by dehydration

The mouth dries out and become caked or coated with thick material. The lips will become parched and cracked. The tongue will swell, and might crack. The eyes will recede back into their orbits and the cheeks would become hollow. The lining of the nose might crack and cause the nose to bleed. The skin would hang loose on the body and become dry and scaly. The urine can become highly concentrated, leading to burning of the bladder. The lining of the stomach will dry out and the sufferer will experience dry heaves and vomiting. The body temperature would become very high. The brain cells would dry out, causing convulsions .The respiratory tract would dry out, and the thick secretions that wouls result an plug the lungs and cause death. At some point within 4 to 7 days, the major organs, including the lungs, heart, and brain, would give out and the person would die.
