So our neighbors invited me to a baby shower the day before yesterday for last night. It is for this girl who moved here from Mexico months ago and she barely speaks any english. She doesn't really know many people and there was only a handful of us there. So, needless to say, being the broke ass that I am I decided to make her a baby quilt. I only had a day to do it and literally sewed like a mad woman to get it done for the shower. What do you guys think. Hopefully it doesn't look too 'thrown together'. I wish I had more time to make her a fatty one :(

She is having a girl..the middle square is a fairy embroidery..the corners are vine embroideries.

Really cute! How did you do the embroidery? By hand or machine?

Very nice... no, you can't tell its a "one day" project. I think its because for most people that would be a "one month" project.. hahah.

You remind me of my Grandmother in that way... i would call her at noon and she would have painted the bathroom, started bread to rise, washed the curtains, shampood the rug, walked the dog and made 7 people breakfast all while taking care of 4 grandkids. All i had done was brushed my teeth.

You seem to accomplish more in a day (at least sewing wise) than I could do in a month!
