http://www.greenanarchy.org This is an awesome site with tons of writings and info. Not a place to look if you're interested in Anarchy's basic philosophy but if you're already into it then definitly check this out. Good stuff: http://www.greenanarchy.org/index.php?action=viewwritings&writingTypeId=-1 A little radical though considering they want to release a guy who tried to blow up a dam.
what kind of anarchy? i mean, anarchy ranges from the far right to the far left, and everywhere inbetween.
an "anti-civilisation" anarchism back to the junge...i dont think so chris has a point to anarchism is far too idealist
whilst i agree with you on the anarcho-primative thing, that wasnt the point i was making. i mean, i agree with anarcho-sydiaclists on many levels.
If i see anarchy on its own i tend to think of left wingers. Either anrcho communists or anarchaists. But most people who call themselves anarchaists in yh seem to be anarcho primitivists.
*shocked * duh this isnt english class but then again im not an english major you would make a corrections officer
I think Anarcho-Primitivity could be a wonderful thing but it would have to take a lot of people to give up their current lifestyles and revert to a simpler one. And that is something not too many, if more than a handful, are willing to do right now. Someday, maybe... But right now, with the vast majority of americans being lured into materialistic life prisons, it's hard to forsee.
Show me something to read and I'll read it. But "read hegel" is a little vague... The link below is to a part of the site I don't know how to access otherwise but it was actually this that really made the site cool: http://www.greenanarchy.org/index.php?action=viewwritings&writingTypeId=-1
I don't really feel like arguing politics right now, but these people associate themselves with the ELF which is a firebombing terrorist orginization, and it's mostly luck they haven't killed in security guards in numerous arson attacks. They also suggest we go back to a life of foraging... and they seem to think the internet is the best means of getting this message out. Now if someone here doesn't see the ironico there I want you to ball your hand up into a fist and then hit yourself in the nose. They also don't seem to have the slightest idea of the negative enviornmental effects of firebombing ski lodges, I don't even want to go into the environmental catastrophy of 6 billion people foraging for fucking picnic baskets.
Lodui knows what he's talking about....therefore i shall listen to him Besides which i distrust organisations Being an anarchist is hard work....
That's a pretty good point and I would like to point out that I do not associate myself with any organization that believes in harming others to achieve a goal. But I still think there are some pretty good articles worth reading. As for organization, I don't know why there isn't a concrete anarchist movement today but of course that would have totally been skimped on by the media. One of the reasons most anarchists resort to violence to achieve their means is usually because they are too few to make any other impact otherwise. That's also why many people associate anarchy with destruction and chaos. In fact, bombing and killing in order to 'fuck the system' tend to do quite the contrary by making people cling to it harder for protection. If anarchy is ever to see the light of day it needs to be put under a new light. We need more contemporary ideologists and leaders to encourage change. Simply put, we need a common goal that we can all work on together, instead of having one group preaching change and another blowing up trains.
