Has anybody else tried jimsonseed or gutara plants? they grow locally in my area and i ate the seeds from one. the first time ate them i fell asleep but the second i tripped. Ive heard theyre not to good for ya.. has anybody else tried them?
Stay away from that stuff... I've seen some scary trips because of that... Same chemical that's found in motion sickness\sleeping pills
Scopolamine, atropine and hyoscyamine. Atropine is the main active chemical. I've tried datura/jimson weed and it is no fun.
A friend of mine tried that bullshit several years ago. I'm not sure how many seeds he ate. He ended up barracaded in his house. He called the local cops, saying some shit about aliens in his front yard barbecuing his neighbors on giant grills outside. The cops weren't amused, and my friend ended up in the psych ward for a couple weeks. He told me later that for a month, the only word he could read was Pepsi. He's still messed up and has to take tranquilizers.
yeah thats why you should take jimson weed, realy guys this shit does happen, jimson weed isnt even a psychedelic its a Deliriant so dont even bother fucking with it
this is NOT the same stuff as you find in dramamine or benedryl, it just has a similarly unpleasant trip for most people and similar severe health risks
In the Army we did a lot of NBC (Nuke, Bio, Chem) training. In the event of exposure to VX (nerve agent), you have 2 auto-injectors to utilize to keep you alive until you can get to a med facility. The first injector contained Atropine, and the second Pralidoxime Chloride. Anyway, the nerve agent blocks the action of an acetylcholine inhibitor, which allows acetylcholine (a neurotransmitter) to build up and function excessively, causing muscular contractions strong enough to break bones, resulting in a a horrible death. So the Atropine works by inhibiting the Action of Acetylcholine, allowing your muscles to unclench (theoretically). But in a normal situation, Atropine can screw up your muscle control (you can't even urinate), and fuck up synaptic firing in your brain (hallucinations). Enough of it can flat out shut you down. Scopolamine works in a similar way. It's not something to play with.
The atropine in autoinjectors is to keep you alive. I doubt that you will be able to fight the enemy while under the influence. You get quite drowsy and uncoordinated from lower doses of atropine. I'd hate to be in a troop were they all used their autoinjectors because they thought there was nerve gas in the air but there wasn't. A lot of heavily armed people in a stressed situation having hallucinations is shurely no fun.
An example of the Datura plant Angel's Trumpet is a tall shrub with coarse foliage which owes its ornamental value to its white 20 cm long trumpet shaped flowers. In garden books it is listed as datura arborea but has recently been reclassified as species brugmansia. DATURAS (Datura) form a genus of some 20 species of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. They occur and are used as hallucinogens in both hemispheres. Intoxication caused by the drug is characterized initially by effects so violent that physical restraint must be imposed until the partaker passes into a stage of sleep and hallucinations. Basically, all species of Datura have a similar chemical composition. Their active principles are mainly hyossyamine and scopolamine, which are tropane alkaloids. Scopolamine is often the major constituent. A number of minor, chemically related alkaloids may be present: atropine, norscopolamine, meteloidine. The differences among species are chiefly in the relative concentrations of these various alkaloids. Though highly toxic, most species have been used extensively in medicine from early times to the present. Their use in folk medicine derives from their high concentration of alkaloids. We have an extensive base of information about datura, its preparation and trip reports and an in-depth look at its effects as an hallucinogen.
don't touch that stuff...first its dose that makes you see shit is close to it's overdose limit, so much so that it has killed lots of people and is often used as a POSION, and was used to posion a british army at one time (i'll look it up later if i find the time) second reason is that it has long term effects, you see shit and go insaine for 3-4 days from some storys i heard (they nearly overdosed too) and you arn't right for months and even years...provided you survive. Stay away from this one, datura brings you to near death. If you do deside to munch this one let us know how it goes.
I'm sure somebody said it's the same thing, chemically speaking, as Jimson weed, which is common everywhere. The British army during the Revolution thought they would pick some leaves and cook them because it looked like an edible plant from home. Many soldiers went berserk, running around naked, screaming weird stuff. In other words, generally making fools of themselves. Same plant today, same effects - it's not a pretty sight.
