Hey if you care, sign this petition!!! (I think its only for people in Canada not sure, sorry!) But check it out. www.donotdrill.ca
Since the land in question is a US holding, Arctic Ntional Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), US names would be appropriate.
And Us citizens need to continue expressing their opinion on drilling in ANWR. Ther Rs will slip it into any bill: like the budget & appropriations bill, in an attempt to slide it through. I expect to see it in the Farm Bill, which is also the source of food stamps and free-reduced lunches. Message: we'll let you feed poor kids if you let us drill. IMO, the disruption in the refuge is more damaging that the temporary increase in crude. And the precedent set to allow it in a refuge will shine the exploration light on all other federal land set asides. (much oil gas and coal exploration and drilling/ mining is already on Fed land, but these are places set aside from that)
Are you sure that pointing out the irrelevance of one post makes that one irrelevant? Maybe someone didn't even click on the link and then responded to the irrelevant post? What about then? Hey, there was a thread entitled "Environmental Activism" in here. It was up for 6, maybe 7 days and disappeared. Any idea where it went?
