i think it means the narrorator is saying to some one how can you say your lonly when there are these other peolpe who are way worse off. i dont know, but i love the song

loneliness is an emotion, because as long as you can see someone else, or hear them, your never alone, i think the song means as bad as u think u have it, someone else is always worse, stop moping and cheer up!
