the next time you are lucid in a dream, stick out your finger and poke at your dream world.....report back with results.

i ask because i wonder if the resulting phenomenon is the same for all dreamers.

study your hands when your awake and associate your hands with a "reality check" every time you see your hands ask yourself "am i dreaming?" soon enough these habits will pop up in your dreams. it dosent have to be your hands either, but they are an easy example.

after you've become lucid it is difficult for a new timer to remain lucid, so i recomend first observing your hands then glancing shortly at a dream object....back to the hands as a reminder of your state....then glance shortly at another dream object, and so on. this will increase dream awarness and over time will no longer be nessesary. dont glance to long at any particular object early on though as it is easy to wake up or fall into another dream, from my own expirience anyways

  5. That sounds really interesting. I dont know if ill remember during a dream. But i have heard of a method where you set your alarm for the middle of the night and you can actually have a waking dream, has anyone heard about that?

i've done that. basically i just flew about and made some cool relaites.. i thoght of a funfair and there i was. another notable one was aman chasing me with a chainsaw. i stopped. turned around and said.. 'give me the chainsaw' he did. and i started chasing him! lol.. that was serious fun.
I have picked up a stone in a lucid dream... it was just like picking up a normal stone. I've been shot...by a laser from an alien...and it really hurt. ive never felt a pain like it. i woke myself up becuase of the screaming.
whenever im lucid dremaing i fly about and usually from tree top to treetop.. and im ususally trying to run away from deathly exposure to various dangerous creatures..crimminals... tigers, muderers..a film director![?]! wild beasts or demons. I guess i should start facing them..and seeing what happens.. ive not faced them...for a long time..hmmm intersting!

Little Carlitos has been reading "Don Juan" again. That technique was discussed by Carlos Castanada in the "Teachings of Don Juan" series of books.

if you had sex in a lucid dream, would you get an orgasm? Jus curious.

  9. maybe you could touch yourself and imagine in great detail that you're in an erotic situation. I'd say you could orgasm then.

It most certainly is. I have enjoyed the struggle that my dream mind has experienced thru the years trying to see my hands and then watching the hands morph into other things. I have also had countless dreams where I watched my hands doing tasks and then forget to use that as a spring board to lucid dreaming (realized the mistakes the next morning). There is more than looking at your hands however. Read more Castenada to see what step two was.
