    Hey everyone. [IMG]

On Monday, I began my period, which was normal. By the end of the school day, I was bleeding through, which usually does not happen. I shrugged it off, went home, cleaned up, yadda yadda yadda. Next day, by the end of first period, I had bled through completely (onto my seat in my first period class), and had clumps of blood (much bigger than usual). I was wondering if this is serious? The next day, my flow went back to normal, so I'm thinking maybe it was just a fluke... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good vibes to all of you! :-D

You probably just had a really heavy flow on the first day. My heaviest flow occurs on the first or second day... in some instances there is more blood than usual. But, I don't think it could be too much of a big deal if your period went back to normal the next day.

So, if you bled through during class, how were you able to stand up and clean it up? Did anyone see?

Usually I bleed really badly on my second day...once I hit my second day I'm in the free and clear as far as flow goes...

If you're bleeding through, you need to get pads or tampons that are specifically for heavy flow days...usually these are called "Overnights" or something.

I bet it was pretty embarrassing though...

I agree with the other ladies. But just keep tabs on things. If your next period ends up the same way, or if you're feeling ill, lightheaded, anything like that, I'd call your doctor and mention it.

I myself normally have extremely light periods, except for my second day. However, my last period was horrendous and I bled quite heavily, which is unlike me. I figure I'll see what happens this month, and if I have another repeat, I guess it's time to see my OB. I'm overdue for my yearly anyway. ;)

If you have blood clots bigger than the size of a quarter, you need to see your gyn post-haste, because there are some fairly serious conditions that have heavy bleeding (a pad an hour or more) and large clots as symptoms.

for me the second day is the bloodiest. It can get very uncomfortable, but a good pad does the trick.

I dont have a vagina so im not sure how it feels to flow; maybe your vagina needed to shed a little extra uteran linning.

im not sure really, but if I weren't in any kind of serious pain, and this incident wasn't reocurring, I wouldn't worry
