Well my parents agreed that I can get a tattoo as a christmas gift from them...the only problem is I dont really know what I want. I have 2 on my back already (in my gallery/tatto piercing pics thread) but I want something I can show off more. They wont agree to anyhting that cant be covered up and nothin drug related but other than that its pretty much whatever I want whereever I want...I was thinking about something on my upper arm, but I dont know how much detail you can get in those, both of mine are bigger than what it would be...I thought about something on my feet but figure I should wait till summer when I wont have to wear shoes... so heres a few Ideas I had...please tell me what you think: (since I already have one amy brown fairy I'd love to get another...what about this in the place her tattoo is on her?) (or maybe something like this on my sholder, only the design closer to my butterfly) (see what I mean..more like that?(and I think its getting to be a little overdone to have the red and black stars on the front of your sholders...like this:but I would still love to get some kind of green stars there...just with something differnent on the inside) SO ANY IDEAS??PLEASE HELP...ITS ONLY 25 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS
oh I almost forgot...this was the lst thing I was considering its the hatchetgirl...I think it in a lighter green with a dark green outline would be gorgeous
I can't really tell ya what to get. I personally like the fairy, but its up to you. I would say that if you aren't sure what you want, to wait until you are. I'm sure youparents will agree to wait until you've decided. They aren't gonna force you into a tattoo. peace
well i more wanted advice..like would the fairy even fit and look good on somones arm? I would imagine ALOT of detail would be lost
How about, instead of getting the two stars on your shoulders, you get two dragonflies? I think it could look really great. I tried messing around with the pic to see what it would look like, but since the girl is at a weird angle with her strap down her arm, it looks kind of off. But you can imagine...
I Never thought about that! it sounds like a really great idea! I didnt really want anything on my arm but couldnt find the hting that was just right for my sholders! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
I love stars on the front of the shoulders like that...I just think it looks super hot on girls. But really, anything nice would fit there so well, I think. MHO~ Say NO to the hatchett girl, I bet you would outgrow that faster then you could blink. I also like your fairy idea and I think the arm is a great place for it. Make sure you show off the finished art when you are all done...and what cool parents you have!
thanks..i like the stars too but so many ppl have them ya know? and i love the fairy but im worried it would lose detail...and yeah..theyre pretty cool
I do agree that it is way too big and awkward looking, and i agree that I shouldnt get something music related on a whim, but I like the groups music, although only because i think its funny, I guess it wouldnt be to smart ot get it...ill wait and gfive that one alot more trhought....I really would rasther get something that would tie in with my other ones
I frown upon music logos, which i didnt know that was one. I watched a guy get a Slipknot symbol down his calf, the artist and myself both told him not to do it, but he had money, and money can pay for a bad idea anyday.
HELL YEAH IT WOULD BE SMALLER!!!!!! I want something alot smaller than that...no more big tattoos for a while for me...besides theres not enough room left on my back for something big...
I think it's kind of ridiculous to go onto an internet messageboard to get advice from complete strangers about something that will be on your body for the rest of your life. I mean, a tatoo is a very permanent thing. You shouldn't just pick something on a whim cause you want it RIGHT AWAY. I mean, what does it matter what we think? It's your body. I think the best way to go about getting a tattoo is finding something meaningful, something that you know you could have on your body for the rest of your life and be proud of. And when you find that something, wait a year. If you still want the same tattoo a year later, get it. No sense in rushing into something that will be on your body for the rest of your life.
some people go about it like that, and thats cool for them..for me I love doing things quickly without thinking mouch about it. I asked becuase I am really torn on what to get and figuered you guys would have some great ideas...which you did. I love the dragonfly sholder idea and am planning on that...I know not everyone would do that but thats fine with me...oh well..your entitled to you r own opinion
