My favorite thing about weed is that when you get high, you can see things more as they really are, instead of just the bullshit that is thrown in your face all of the time. Advertising, movies, even conversations with friends... all the stuff on the surface gets stripped away, and you see what's underneath, which usually isn't very much. It's refreshing to get that perspective on life every now and again, although I'm sure too much of it could be bad! Or just lead to better people and better things... I don't know. Does that make sense?

My favorite thing about weed is the way it makes music sound/feel. It's amazing. I also understand what you're saying. It makes you view EVERYTHING differently and more objectively while, at the same time, more compassionately.

Which is exactly why the gov't/conservatives don't want you to smoke pot.
They don't want people to see the truth.
Just do what they say, think like they tell you. Work for them, have kids then send them off to die in the jungle/desert, don't cause trouble.

I've done shrooms once, and how my perspective changed with that... it was amazing! It was like everything with pot, except that instead of being weirded out by seeing what really was, I thought it was hilarious! Also, my thoughts sort of turned inward, so I saw a little better how I really am(which was sort of scary, but much-needed!), instead of just the things around me.

how can u say u see things for what they really are when u are impaired?

if u cant see these things when sober, most likely high, u are just over-analyzing them, or just thinking stupid BS u wouldnt otherwise

^ thats the story of shrooms as well.

How do you know? Because you only come to those conclusions while high...and if you still agree passionately while sober...then it's all good.

For me, that differnt perspective of the world has carried over to even when I'm not stoned its werid. I look back at the days before I started smoking ganja and these days, and I see the world totally different.

but then on the downside you realize all the depressing aspects of life.

i realized that my life completely sucks without my boyfriend. Before i had him i thought my life was pointless and i didn't really care if i lived or died, now that we have broken up i feel the same way. Getting stoned after this breakup has made me realize how crappy my life really is. I have also realized that i do not want to have a great future. I am a straight A student in honors classes, and since i was 10 people have been pushing me to go to college. I have realized that i don't want to go to college. I don't want to have a great future, i just want to get by and have a life. so basically i think just my depression over the week has brought up my thoughts but right now, i don't want to go to college and be successful, i don't even want to live, and i want my boyfriend back more than anything in the world. I feel i would give up everything i have right now to get him back.

i'm depressed and stoned, and rambling and i also think i have the flu please excuse me for ranting

Weed is extremely relaxing and incredibly euphoric, but my favorite thing about weed is it's internal psychedelic properties. It usually doesn't produce external visions, or true hallucinations, with eyes wide open (like LSD can sometimes do, with higher doses), unless you smoke (or eat) an insane amount of weed.

With eyes closed, it's like watching a movie in your head, about yourself! An endless stream of heavenly visions and consciousness flows through my mind and body. CARL SAGAN did smoke weed and described it as: "...a movie going on on the inside of my eyelids." (Pg. 110, from: MARIJUANA RECONSIDERED, By Lester Grinspoon,M.D., Quick Trading Company, San Francisco, 1971, 1977, 1994/paperback edition). In this book, check out the index in the back, under: "X, Mr., 109-116, 260. According to an internet source, "Mr. X" IS CARL SAGAN! He didn't experience acid, though. Farout Carl!

NovaStarwind mentioned that: "you see things more as they really are" on weed. That's because you're in a "subconscious" mode, instead of a "conscious" mode. Dreaming is another state of the subconscious. Sometimes when I'm high on weed, I remember some things that I've long forgot about. Long-term memory seems to surface, by limiting the short-term memory.

Grapefruity states that marijuana is a psychedelic drug. I agree! For me, it's very psychedelic, but different from acid. It would be very interesting to "trip" on pure "THC". But "synthesizing" the THC molecule seems to be too complicated and/or too expensive, otherwise someone would've done it.

I understand that the THC molecule, if synthesized, would be too unstable for practical use. Even more unstable then the LSD molecule. In the 70's, "crystal T" (or "crystal THC") was sold on the streets, as pure THC, but it was just PCP (phencycladine), "horse" or "hog" tranquilizer, or "rocket fuel". It was highly misrepresented! KETAMINE (Vitamin "K"), or "cat tranquilizer"), is a much safer and better form of a "hallucinogenic-anesthetic", than PCP "angel dust").

TopNotchStoner likes: "the way it makes music sound/feel." Very true! Music is so much better when you're stoned, especially if your "internal visions" are "synchronized" to the music!

Rangerdanger states that: "the gov't/conservatives don't want you to smoke pot. They don't want people to see the truth." That's exactly it! Just be a stupid "serf" to serve KING GEORGE II! The ancient FEUDAL SYSTEM in action. But then, KING GEORGE II is getting high on booze, cocaine, Ritalin and Prozac. Say NO to DRUGS! What a hypocrite! Who's calling the kettle black! See: "Secret Service, U.S. Intel Say Bush Uses Cocaine, Prozac, Alcohol" www.tomflocco.com/fs/SecretServIntelSay.htm. Roger Clinton (Bill Clinton's brother, arrested for drugs, via Iran-Contra) says that: "My brother's nose was like a vacuum cleaner when it came to the use of cocaine." I think you know what this implies.

"It is not for kings, O Lemuel - not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, lest they drink and forget what the law decrees, and deprives all the oppressed of their rights." - PROVERBS 31:4-5

Sniffmagikmarkrs; Isn't the fumes (vapors) from magic markers toxic to sniff? College is where I got turned on to pot and acid! Many wild parties! Plus, I got an education, and a college degree! Many potential new boyfriends for you! Of course, I can't make any boyfriend decisions for you, that's your personal beliefs, decisions and business. Ask Dr. Phil! Sometimes weed can make people too laid back! Psychedelic type of drugs/plants/fungi reveal and amplify things in your head. What's inside of your head is there and comes out. I hope that the future is less depressing for you and happier, but you have to work at it to happen. Good luck!
