Yeah, seen it a few times. You should also see the movie "Ed Wood" as he was the director of that movie & it really covers all the weird shit that went on off camera during the filming of Plan 9. Martin Landau plays Bela Lugosi, the star of Plan 9.
yo spiral, i love that flick - it's soooo fun to watch!!! Frankenstein Drag Queens even did a song about it, "Plan 9 from Outer Space" so lock the doors honey crawl under your bed the aliens are here to resurrect the dead!
I dunno why people put down: 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'. It's a cult-classic.Yes it's awful trash but that makes it: 'Art'!!!.
A cartoon show I really like, called Mission Hill, did a parady of this movie entitled 'Plan 9 from Mission Hill." Just thought I'd mention that...lol.
The movie was made on a shoestring budget, and has become a classic now! Its an art form in its texture.
I haven't seen it but I've heard horrible things about it. Didn't one of the main characters die during the production of the film? That just came to mind right away.
"Plan 9 from outer space" layed the foundation for all the zombie films that followed. Especially George Romero's Dead movies. The worlds fit togather. Goverment coverups of UFOs. Classic
agreed. without ed wood there would be no tim burton, george romero or john waters. so bravo ed wood for making ridiculous movies.
this film is probably one of the most quoted ever by bad movie fans. The effects are cheap, the acting is diabolical but underneath it all there is the will of Ed Wood, who genuinely thinks he is creating a masterpiece, and thats what makes it so damn funny!!!
