The first time i bought pot i got an 1/8 for 40$. My friend got it for me from a guy he knows. Anyways i just bought an 1/8 like three days ago and there was like 3x as much in there. So i'm thinking my friend ripped me off or the first 1/8 was hella good shit, but it didn't seem much better. Anybody else have shit like this happen to them?
once you start buying more often and buy from a honest dealer, you will be able to judge from looking at it. you also have to take in if they are selling by weight or not. around my town, you can buy an eigth for $25 or $40. they are the same weed and same potency. just depends on the dealer.
It doesn't matter if it's good shit or not, an 1/8 is an 1/8. 1/8 = 3.5 grams. However, some weed is more compressed and some weed is more fluffy, so depending on the type of weed, some weed will look like it weighs more than other weed. 1/8 of some fluffy weed can look like it's twice as much as 1/8 of compressed weed.
It used to be $25.00 dollars for a ounce of pot here even in the very early 1980s ,quality was not as good as todays unless you had good conections since none was grown indoors under ideal conditions but better stuff sold for $35 thru $60.00 in those days here 70s,60s,.
There really is no way to tell just by looks. Ive had, and weighed buds that looked like 1.5-2gs at most, but were actually 4.5+ They were not wet. It really depends. Some buds are very fluffy, some buds are very dense. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about this guy ripping you off, but it's not all that uncommon for newbies...
