2c-e = Discomfort

55mg thats insane! when i took 18mg, it felt like a 4-way hit of LSD windowpane to me. I'm thinking there must be some cut showing up in certain batches now.

 

Huh 2cesarewild, wouldn’t have initially pegged ya for a psych major... but guess it would make sense for someone interested in researching obscure phenylethylamines. One's first impression was probably formed by thinking that '2cesarewild' was an ode to the 'girls gone wild' genre of DVDs... lol

The range of ‘hardheadedness’ people have to psychedelics and 2C-E in particular appears to vary widely. One has heard very reliable reports of some persons taking 5 mg. and getting notable effects with extreme effects at 10-15 mg. One has also heard very reliable reports of others considering 20 mg. to be a minimal dose preferring instead to regularly dose in the high 30 to low 40 mg. range. While one has heard reports of some ‘cutting,’ there still appear to be some genuine hardheads out there. General consensus seems to be that 15 mg. should be a fairly notable trip for most and 20+ mg. is very likely to produce one of the most intense psychedelic experiences possible for most folks…

Caution appears advised, but there is probably a good reason why Shulgin considers this one of his magical creations.

IB: Yes I was a dual major during my college stint, psychology being the only one I kept the whole time, and also the only one I actually put effort into learning about. Eventually I grew tired of the college life, and quit to be a full time computer support engineer. But, Girls Gone Wild definitely rocks lol... They actually had a girls gone wild in worcester, which is like 45 mins away from me; a couple of my buddies went.


OSvet: Yes 18 mg's def. is about as strong as 4 hits of good lsd. My first experience with 2c-e was on 25 mg's, because as long as I have been into tripping I have had the desire to go far out. That was tripping like I had always imagined, like I thought it probably was in the sixties when L was better and more heads were around. The experience I had with 2c-e in that range of 55 mg's, was .... intense (for lack of a better word to sum). For a while I could do nothing but lay in bed in the fetal position with my eyes closed, being a part of this flowing mandala-like hallucination that kept transforming into all kinds of psychedelic imagery. I was not aware of the fact that I *existed* or anything like that really. I just opened my eyes after a long while of that strangeness, and I suddenly came back to existance.

eat_some_lsd has done all kinds of "push the limits" type things like that, with other substances too. I think his highest 2c-e dose was 60 mg's.

 

I don't know about you guys, but in my experience 2c-e was much more visually intense than acid at 12 mgs, and I've taken my fair share of acid. There were times on 2c-e that I really felt I was on the verge of delerium. On another note- having (knowingly) tried 2c-e, I can confirm that whatever questionable chemical I posted about taking at rainbow was without a doubt a 2c chemical. Thanks guys!

Fair share as in many experiences, or high doses?

 

Has anyone else noticed that you can continute to function normally while tripping hard on 2ce? I had a paper due a week ago and I decided to trip 2ce before setting off to turn it in. After playing halo 2 for a good part of the comeup (i would recommend this to anyone seeking to avoid the discomfot), i walked to the bus and began the journey. I started tripping very hard along the way. Despite my heavy tripping i was able to do everything i needed to with little negative interference from the 2ce. It was a very fun outing.

 

Depends on the dose, but yes the mind component is a lot less there than with say LSD.

 

I love to trip on 2C-E while watching fireworks displays or when going to a circus. Never had any serious problems in crowds (but for safety reasons, I always have a sitter at my side in such situations).

 

For many people the 2C-x series and other phenylethylamines maintain more mental clarity. This may be related to the minimal effects that they have at 5HT1 sites when compared with various tryptamines (especially 5-MeO-DMT).

I have to comment on the "evil spirit" thing earlier. These things come from within you, there is no external "spirit" or anything, it is simply that you exist in a given paradigm you built in your mind and society has told you there is a god, there is a devil, there is good, there is evil. This negative pulling was the negative in you (most likely). Every person is a duality.

as far as doses, I am comfy at 10-15. The more I take the more stomach pain til it is absorbed/broke down whatever.
30 was what I was having friends try, and they compared it to DMT.
So 30 mg is no joke. Ive never taken more than that.

 

this thread is ancient...a good read though. i wish those guys were still around so i could respond to some of what they said.

i've taken 2ce at approx. 12-20 mg. i find it VERY strong visually (stronger than LSD doses i've taken), but not overall as strong as L. 2cesarewild was saying 18 mg is like 4 hits of L...no way! maybe as far as visuals, but that's it. i DO get euphoria, tactile sensations, musical enhancement, synesthesia, etc from 2ce, but LSD is way more all encompassing and just all around better.

my sweet spot for 2ce seems to be 17 or 18 mg, though i may try ~25 mg at some point.

i am starting to agree with the OP though, that 2cx (-e and -b) are just too harsh on my body to continue on with much further.
