1 2.4 kw dimmer pack, a midi board, programmed chase loop, computer, 2.4 kw power supply


that's all you'd need.....

 

and how much would all that cost....an what about all that time you need
you need lots more than that lol

have you tried setting one of those up?

 

well you could use any computer with a midi port, so you could use an olde 80486 for that bit, hell you could probably pick up any olde junk computer fot that, you'd at least want a 24 channel lighting board (he had a lot more than 24 channels, but just for the sake of economy we'll say that) you could probably pick one of those up refurbished from a theatre specialty catalogue for something in the 40-80 dollar range, the dimmer is going to be the hard bit, you could probably pick up an old one or several smaller old ones, parallel them for cheapish, I haven't looked at dimmers in ages


the powersupply you could wire yourself into house current with a bit of knowledge....

and really you're going to want that knowledge before you start playing with dimmer packs at all
