Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy Hipp Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy Hippy!

I use to call myself a hippy. But now it seems kinda stupid to bound myself like that, by actually labelling myself as something. That gives people power over you, it chains you down. Bah, it's stupid to call yourself anything. Anyone agree?

Well, everyone has a label. No matter what, you can't escape from them. It's not possible. Weather it's "black", or "white", or "asian", or "hispanic", or "yellow", or male, or female, or student, young, old, rich, poor, smart, stupid, tall, short, pale,

    or..

    HUMAN...

They're all labels, and you can't escape from them.
So just have fun with them while you're alive.
    :)

It is whatever makes you happy... If having a label makes you happy, go for it. If not, don't do it. It doesn't really matter either way. As long as you are being yourself... Personally, I don't call myself a hippie, although everyone else does. But labels don't really matter to me... They used to but not really that much any more...

well, are you a human? is that a label? I am not fond of labels on clothes.....
but what you are calling a label is a category. and the category HIPPY was never one the hippies called themselves. they called themselves freaks!

but, I agree, any category like that is odious because you KNOW it's way wrong, and cannot be allowed to compromise your self concept.
But, sometimes you just have to admit that you are in other people's category. In other words, if the shoe (sandal?) fits wear it. Now if you don't want to be in the category HIPPY anymore,
get rid of those clothes, stop smoking herb, cut your hair, and get a job in the system, and all that.
otherwise, enjoy it, make fun of it, because that's what everybody else thinks you are.
