I don't think its that bad...it's all in good fun. Most teens (me included) want money and their 15 minutes of fame...
I've seen the show three times, and every time there have been gay guests on, do they mean to do this, or just coincidence?
yeah i agree, my sister and i were watching it and we didnt like what they do, and the host is really an ass too.. pimp my ride is good, i like it when xibit does his faces for the camera
i stay clear away from mtv bullshit 15 min of fame??????? get a f*****clue pimp my ride is the only thing i wach on that station it scares the hell out of me knowing that our future is in then hands of blind american kids watching those stupid shows. and i have a pretty open mind about different POVs and all but come on you people who watch this S***** are BLIND sorry . . . i just woke up and i hate MTV
wel.. i havnt even herd of that show until now so i cant really judge. but i like mtv, i think its pritty kool ova here.
You people are silly! If it wasnt for MTV, then how the hell am i supposed to know what's cool?? If i had to find my own style, or my own taste in music, i think i would die. MTV is the best thing that ever happened. And radio stations, too. (hope you all realized the sarcasm)
I wonder, has there ever been a full thread about MTV on these forums that does'nt bash them? Still, I think MTV sucks. What's so great about pimp my ride? What do they do? I'm gonna go watch This is Spinal Tap, on Bravo, I suggest everyone else do the same.
mtv used to rock with cartoon sushi, beavis and butthead and max........ i like kennedy too the vj she was kinda kool. even their old commercials used to be hillarious................................
I stopped watching MTV when they started playing 6 different versions of "The Real World." TRL didn't help matters much either.
MTV is the brainwashing king of america. Theyre like, "here we'll play these videos over and over until you like them."
It's hard to imagine a time when MTV was actually HIP! I saw an old MTV commercial before with Pete Townshend in it. I guess those were the good ole days of MTV. They could restore SOME of their reputation if they would at least show some damn music videos, even if almost all of them suck. The only time I ever see videos on MTV is in the early morning and (sometimes) in the middle of the night.
I don't know about everyone else but I love most the non-music video portions. I love the all the reality TV programing, but I love to see people look like complete asses on TV. These people constintly make fools of themselves, and it cracks me up. Also I vow to get on the Real World!!! I would get drunk and party on MTVs dollar for six months while I live in an amazing house with very attractive roomates. You can't ask for more.
when i was a little kid, the secretary at where my dad worked, her husband got satellite tv and was therefore one of the first in our region to be able to see other than local tv (which we didnt have anyway). I got to spend the night once so i could get to watch MTV. Thats how special it was. I remember Rod Stewart videos (Young Turks) and at the time it was 'second british invasion' lots of Eurythmics and Big Country and videos from neverbefore heard of acts who simply had a music video and were british in one way or another. it was beautiful to me. I can imagine that if you had cable at home the old MTV would get stale afterawhile cuz they seriously only had a limited number of videos at that time and even in my limited one night stand with mtv, i'd seen them all by the following day. Otherwise to this day i cannot remember that ladies name or where she lived but i will always remember the beauty of music television.
