i like bowie.. however, all my friends hate him, so i've never really had a conversation with anyone about him.
David Bowie was on top but very long ago. hes just a aging artist now with not much steam left in him "old age" . But at least he is alive.
There WAS quite a discussion on Bulge of Bowie in the Labyrinth thread in the movie forum. Anyone care to comment?
I don't get why David Bowie has to be placed in the Rock 'n' Roll subforum. David Bowie is of the 70's. Rock and Roll was finished by 1967. In 1967 it became ROCK.
My favorite album is "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars" (1972), and I think that was his best and most essential album. I also like "Space Oddity" (1969), "Hunky Dory" (1971) and "Young Americans" (1975). I've also listened to "David Bowie" (1967), "The Man Who Sold The World" (1971), "Low" (1977), "Scary Monsters" (1980) and "Tonight" (1984).
I love Bowie's singing voice. And his regular one, too, of course. He's got a cute accent. But, I really enjoy his singing, partly because it's so unique and even a li'l eccentric, but never to an annoying or insincere extent. Through everything, he has remained himself--he's got such a distinct and original voice (and style)...I love him because he's like an alien, he's not like anyone else. <3!!
The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars EVERYONE MUST HEAR IT... it's pure awesomeness!
hm, i own the Best of Bowie, but i have heard many other albums of his that were genius. i love the Best of collection though, because i think it contains his best work, obviously. but, that's just my opinion. *sigh* i love David Bowie. peace. <3
