Sorry if this doesn't fit here, I didn't know where else to put it...Feel free to move it (mods) if it's in the wrong spot. I'm looking for a sanskrit term, but written in the original language. I found a website that has a hlaf-assed guide to learning it, but I'm looking for a particular phrase. I'm looking to find the phrase "an-atma" written in sanskrit. Can anyone help me out, at all? Any help would be GREATLY apppreciated. Thank You!
Hey I'm not sure if this will help but there are some sanskrit translators here: http://www.freelang.net/translation/languages/sanskrit.html There's also this sanskrit site which looks quite good. http://www.sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar/english/essentials/index2i.html Don't know if they'll help though!
Hindi uses the same writing system as Sanskrit. The alphabet is called Devanagari. So you could always check that out. Once you get the hang of the basics, it's pretty simple. The vowels tend to be the hardest to write, mostly for remembering their positions. Hope that helps/. The easiest language I learned to write was Korean. I taught myself how to write it in about a month.
Okay, thanks! So, what I still haven't been able to find is...how do I spell "anatma" in Devanagari??
I know how to spell it, but it's difficult to explain without being able to type it. I have a couple of Hindi fonts on my computer, so maybe I could e-mail how to write it to you.
