OK ~ it goes something like this.....
The ancient myths all have this thing about the supposed "gods" or aliens (whatever you preferr) coming from the star Sirius. Similar myths are found in the Dogong tribe in Africa, ancient Egyptians, the ancient Maya/Aztec/Toltec/Mixtec/, as well as Mesopotamians and Greeks. They all had this "god" thing about Sirius.
So because Sirius can be seen from either hemisphere, these "gods"/aliens could have approached the Earth looking down on the southern hemisphere pole. If that is was the case, then the south pole is the real & historical "topside" of the earth sphere.
So which is top of the world ~ North, South?

    SOUTH

maybe the shit changes when the magnetic poles shift
ofcourse that's only magnetic change, but
maybe that changes where sirius is or something
    yeah i dunno :p

but hey, you got a point there.
everyone says theres this sirius/god connection thing
    and i totally believe that.

There;s no top side since direction is all reletive to the earth.

I guess you are right.. but i think you should have stopped at:

There;s no top side since direction is all reletive

"Precession is the observed phenomenon of our solar system orbiting another star, not a physical occurrence!"

    Karl-Heinz Homann

    "topside"

seems to suggest you don't have to be as pedantic as you are being [no offence] .... i guess NSEW is 'reletive' also.. we just marked our compasses that way.

I am sorry Mrmree , Doctor spock says your question is not logical.

I am gonna take a gamble though and go with ''North''

Well, all things are relative ~ that's what relativity is. And historically, North is placed on top, but is it logical to do so? The ancient maps (Piri Reiss etc) show the South pole as top, as have egyptian maps mentioned earlier. It is only because of northern hemisphere colonialism that the presumption of North to the top has come about.

it, nowhere... its just a whole in the surface of the earth, it grants you entrance to the world inside, but nowboy has returned to tell the story of what lies beneath!
