The time is now my brothers and sisters. The world is now ready for our peaceful revolution. We must now come together and change the society we live in to a peaceful community, not a hateful, fearing, segregated neighborhood! We must now come together in peace and love and stop this God forsaken 'war'! As Edwin Star said, "War: What is it good for? Absolutley nothing!" I'm with you on that one, its funny over in the states politics is about the war on iraq over here its who got free lunch that shouldn't, name calling and each party telling each other that they suck its soo funny this is the country of nuclear free too anyway you should set a party up and run for it yourself I bet you could change the world to nuclear free that would be cool

Your world will NEVER be a peaceful place. It will always have segregation, degradation and fear. You're living a give and take relationship. The world gives you shit, you take it. You sit on your little computers ranting and whatnot about how unpeaceful this world is...but do NOTHING about it. You always say you're 'planning' the next big revolution, or you tell everyone to start a revolution. NEWS FLASH: You're all too lazy to start it. If you weren't lazy, you'd have already made a difference. But...like always, you haven't.
Until you actually have this revolution, stop making repeat posts about it.

 

i agree....instead of writing about it on these forums, write to a politician or something. personally, im waiting till school starts and then im gonna hijack and take over the school newspaper.

Posting messages on the internet about society is no more a commitment than sticking a 'No Blood 4 Oil' bumper sticker on your car. A revolutionary isn't someone who repeats slogans she read on someone's t-shirt any chance she gets. A revolution is about action. Now I don't care wether you're acting on your views about peace and harmony on a large or small scale, wether you just negotiated a peace treaty between two warring nations or wether you didn't sock the young Republican that called Nader a douche- but if you're not doing anything, if you're just gnawing my ear off about peace because it happens to be en vogue amongst our splendid little countercultural movement- I don't want to hear it. Frankly, Scarlet, I don't give a damn. How do you plan to start or participate in this revolution? What did you do in the past 10 hours to make the world a better place according to you? That's the stuff that counts. Not people who just stopped by to say 'Peace is nice. There should be peace, brother.' We know that peace is nice, brother. I don't need someone to tell me that getting shot in the head is a rather unpleasant experience. Just put an Edwin Starr record on repeat and spare me the naive hippie rap.

 

You all speak like you are so much better than everyone else. But you see, I probally do more than anyone in here for peace! I am organizing festivals, peace demonstations, pickets, rallies, and what not. I am working for this, I am just trying to inspire others to help spread the idea and the state.

Yes, I am 17. And, judging by your post MUCH wiser than you at 16! You think it's great they keep bringing it up? How about getting off of your ass and do something about it. Posting this CRAP in the young hippies forum won't make a difference in the world. It just takes up space.
Dreaming, yes, that's all you're ever going to do. DREAM your little lives away.
PAH! You're ALL the world will have left for peace? You are all the world will have left to DREAM for peace. You won't accomplish it, because you sit here on your little computer and complain about the unpeaceful nature of the world instead of actually doing anything.
Here's your advice: Stop complaining and do something. Stop sitting there looking at your computer screen and do something.
God forbid you get your asses outside for something other than 'dancing in the meadow'.
ANOTHER NEWS FLASH: Peace was always in the darkness. Was there ever a time when all the world was peaceful? NO.

 

moon_flower, some might see what you're saying as rude, but i see it as right on. all these immature children here talk about something they'd like to see done, and if they had the chance to help, i think they would help, but that's all they are, followers. i get out there and do what i feel needs to be done.

but yeah, revolution is an internal thing, embedded on the human spirit, since we have so many abbie hoffman fans it is contagious really, you have to make it Look appealing, try and make people want to live that lifestyle, to have inner peace, and be at peace with themselves and the world, and to be aware of their surroundings. you have to make it to look logical, and reasonable(and even responsible), yet fun and exciting at the same time... almost make people jealous, and make them WANT to know...
