I would, unfortunately, agree with this statement. This seems to be a path a lot of the country is going down... I know many pagans that are anti-Christian also, but I think a major difference is that the pagans don't want to persecute the Christians, whereas I believe many Christians would love to find a way to get rid of the pagans. It is unfortunate, no matter what the religious/spiritual group...

I agree. I think they may have to, tho', as I believe Wicca is an official religion here in the US. They got their official status a decade or two ago, I believe, by going before the U.S. Bureau of Religions, or what-have-you (sorry, I can't remember the exact details).
The army chaplain's office may have more accurate details on Wicca then, or be required to provide them, I'm not sure. Just a thought...

why would the army want wiccans who love all the trees, animals and people? wouldn't they want christians who believe evil people should be killed?

HAha - love the reversal of the usual formula there - an army of Wiccans would probably be pretty feeble and easily defeated. Which just goes to show how far they are from 'real paganism' - I mean, look at the Roman army - one of the most efficient ever. Look at the campaigns of Ghengis Khan -
