Michael Moore Owns Halliburton

I by no means am advocating that a person doesn't need to make sure the information they choose to accept is honest information. Moore's films are entertainment, no more of a "documentary" than What the Bleep do we Know which also markets itself as a documentary (I hate that stupid movie - it's genre is listed as "Documentary, Sci-Fi/Fantasy". WTF is that?). So I guess I can understand what you are saying.

But you're right, we are getting off topic. I hate to spend any time on the topic (of Moore and his films) anyways, because honestly, I think the man and his work are completely overstated. I really like Roger and Me (my parents were laid off by GM when they closed Fisher Body Plant), and I enjoy his other stuff, but that's because I'm part of the choir. The conservatives have their O'Rileys and Limbaugh's. We have our Moore's and such. They're all just preachin to the chior. I don't know why people get so worked up about it (not saying you are, Pitt). Gawd that free speech is just awful!!



(BTW, does anyone wish that conservatives would put their current leaders though the same ringer they use on Moore?)

Since Moore comes up so much amonst you minority of conservatives here in a liberal forum, than it stands to reason that if liberals were as lame as you we would be mentioning O'Riley every other post. The only one taking Moore so goddamn seriously is you guys. You are creating your own enemy (probably because there are no democratic leaders to pick on currently) and you seem to think liberals bow down to him and sacrifice virgins for the info he has to give.

This thread was to call out Moore for his hypocrasy. No mention of Bush, or conservatives. YOU brought it in this thread, no one else. This thread was dedicated to the hypocracy and corruption of the left.

I made this thread as I did see alot of conservative bashing, so I put this article up to show you that liberals are just as guilty.

Yes, the right is corrupt without a doubt. BUT, the left is equally corrupt, that is what I pointed out, as the left has pull as much as the right.

Michael moore is a bit of an arrogant gasbag. I loved in in bowling for columbine how he tried to return the bullets to the shop assistant in K-mart as if the poor lady had shot those kids all by herself and as if she had any say over whether k-mart stocks bullets. What a meanie.

But nevertheless, the purpose of all the liberal, lefty bashing and dirt digging by many of the conservatives in the US is simply to discredit left attitudes entirely in an attempt to divert attention from the much greater injustices commited by those currently in power.

Well then I figured I dont really care if he owns stock in Haliburton.
Haliburton is an excellent member of my community and quite honestly a tremendous amount of food goes home to families tables here because of Haliburton - and that is thanks to the people working there and making Haliburton wealthy too.

Moore the propaganda pig is probably one of the best-worst examples of how totally gullible people in the western world are willing to be.
Im not proud to know he is 1/4 Canadian and yet doesnt hesitate to use Canada for his scams on the public.
Moore has become extremely wealthy and famous for all his movies and books btw.

The reason I mention that is because apparently the fact that Haliburton makes 'Millions' is (for him and stupid listeners) enough reason to suspect they are involved in murder or something.

I agree with a lot of what you say, Moore is...well, I wouldn't say arrogant, but he tends to get carried away trying to communicate his message, which results in some truly cringeworthy moments in his movies. I'ld like to think his heart's in the right place though. He does make a lot of money, it'd be nice if he gave some to charity but hey who does. I don't remember Moore saying Halliburton was bad just because it makes money, though. There's a lot more to his argument than that.

Micheal Moore made the "Roger and Me" film. We live in a world full of goddamn greedy ass idiots who run the country and ruin our lives and the enviorment so they can make a few bucks.

 

Haven't seen farenheit 9/11 for a while but from what I remember Michael Moore was simply arguing that Saudi Arabia is an inhumane dictatorship similar to Iraq, but America supports them instead of bombing them. He basically pointed out that the US reasons for war aren't dicated by honourable causes. He didn't blame saudi arabia for the attacks but pointed out that Osama Bin Laden cam from a ruch saudi arabian family.

Not necessarily my beliefs, just setting the facts straight about the film.

 

Let's face it, Michael Moore is a fraud. If anything, he is helping the Bush administration. I wouldn't be surprised if he's working for them.
