To all the minnesota heads... so which one is it gonna be?

me and my friend have decided on Wookiefoot for NYE.... after beeing able to sit and eat and talk with mark murphy made it all that more important to make it to the Wookiefoot show over the wu years eve.. also.. wu played about a week ago in my home town.. and it sucked.. worst show i've ever seen... one bad apple can ruin the whole damn bunch... plus i figured.. all the bands that are playin at Wu Years Eve... often make it to Winona to play.. so i see them more often... and at $30... im a poor boy.. i could see all them bands and then some for $20... wookiefoot on the other hand is $15 for a crazy night of hippies and bliss junkies... seems alot more fun and interesting... so anywho.. just wondering where all the minnesota heads are gonna be... if else where.. explain

wookie foot is playing in fargo on the 30th so I get to see the foots on the 30th and the wu year on the 31st....I haven't seen too much good come from the wu lately but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...escpecialy since god johnson and the turtles will be there...I'm kinda expecting god johnsons lead (big wu's old guitar player) to step up and rip out some really good wu with the rest of the band.....

Well, I bought my tix now for Wu Year's Eve... jokerman, you will have a great time too.....it's a tough choice. wu on a good night can be very good, but they do have their bad nights, I've seen those too.

I just couldn't resist Turtles, and God Johnson. always a good time. and they are supposed to have a big jam with all the bands too. Cabooze will be packed I'm sure for Wookiefoot.

everyone be safe New Year's....and rock on.

I still would rather be at Umphreys in Chicago, truth be told, but I'm so broke....anyone in Chicagoland, that would be the ticket to get....

I go to school in Minnesota and have seen both The Big Wu and Wookiefoot (at this past year's harvest fest) I would say go to Wookiefoot, but it kind of sounds like you already know. Otherwise come to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the Family Groove Company out of Chicago they rock and its a cheap all ages show.

    Peace

Funny you mention Family Groove Company. I picked up a free disc of theirs when I was in Madison and was just listening to it this week....I liked them, they are alright....it was Live at the Cubby Bear....I love Wisconsin too, rock on Oshkosh!!!

I'm kinda glad now I won't be at wookiefoot though I think they're great, but the Cabooze when it is packed.....whew, too much for this old lady. when I saw TBT there in November it was so packed you literally could not move an inch. Enjoy though!! celebrate 2006!! anybody else at Wu with me?

ah, you got me there....you know, my main thought was when Jason Fladager (sp) joined them it was good music but the sound system just sucked. I think all the sound guys were asleep at the wheel.

you would know me if you saw me, check my gallery pics, we seem to go to all the same shows, I'll meet up with you sometimes, tikiman.

yeah I checked your photo and I must say you did look familiar, were you with the guy thatse in the pic? he kinda looked familiar too...

I totally agree though, the sound in there sucked and it totally looked like jason came out and saved them by playing a song that the crowd actually got into and excited for...that and the other guitar player looked absolutly trashed...and they missed the f'in count down!! I haven't been pleased with the wu lately...

the turtles rocked though! that was a really sweet show
