I think I heard somewhere that some scientists believe life on earth originated from spores braught to earth by meteors ....or maybe I'm just confusing reality with starship troopers either way, mushrooms rock, have you ever gone out picking?
yea that is a theory.. basically that chemotropic (chemical-eating) bacteria/other 1-celled organisms originated in the depths of the ocean from meteors.. ocean is a nice little incubator/protector for fragile life, cause its such a controlled environment.. hell yeah! i go mushroom picking all the time.. i live in northern california, technically its a temperate rain forest (redwoods), basically mushroom capital USA. its so fun seeing all the different kinds; there are some really unique and strange ones. sometimes when i go camping i bring an LED light and look at the fungi under it and some of them glow a neon purple, its so weird!
i find it extrordinarily arrogant of our scientists; to think we are the only ones in this great universe of ours...we are just part of it not the end of it...all we have to base our science on is our solar sysem...
holy crap that's awsome, the neon glowing mushroom deal that is I'd like to go back out to Haida Gwaii ( Islands off the coast of BC, south of the Alaska pan handles) , they have some amazing picking out there, you can make really good money picking this one type in particular. they're sold to the japanese as an exotic afrodesiac, I forget the thier name now though

hey yeah! i believe you're talking about Matsutake mushrooms. alot of people pick those for money. some people make hella dollars off of those. mushroom picking for a living, hehe, that wouldnt be too bad.. frolicking in the forests and all..
ya, but it's winter right now, I need an excuse to get out of here it got down to -25 this week YIKES mmmm, California would be soooooo nice, I've never been, very envious of you right now
heheh yeah its nice in california... and DAMN THAT IS COLD!!! hmmm.. i can only suggest snowboarding or something, heehe. its like 60something in california right now. crazy. i like the snow though.. but -25 thats just insanity! by the way, if you ever make it to america, come to california because i think its the best state.. especially northern california. dont let this guy scare you away
ya, I do board, and now that we have this cold snap the hills are finally open, but it's almost too cold to even want to go I have been seriously considering getting back out to BC or even down into washinton or oregeon, so northern cali isn't to far of a strech from that, just have a few months of down time, live on the cheap and see places and people but I don't think I can swing it right now, I only ahve about $500 to my name really, I just want to be some where I can see the ocean and mountains and those lush green forests

I find it real weird that you can smoke in plane because you'll pollute the passengers - when the plane flies it pollutes much more than cigarettes...
