Umm... has anyone asked WHY the OP was tazered.
I mean, unless you're a minority the cops aren't going to just beat the shit out of you for no reason, usually.
Y'see, cops are really jumpy. They know people who have died because some asshole pulled a gun on them, and they don't want that happening to them. If you just keep that in mind you won't have a problem with 99% of cops.
Remember:
Don't plead your case to a cop, he doesn't have the power to make any 'deals'.
Don't resist arrest, unless you are trying to make a break for it, just give him both your hands and wait till you can lawer up.
Keep you hands in plain sight at all times, never make any threatening movements or go for a pocket, cops don't like that.
don't mouth off to the cop, you aren't going to accomplish anything.

they're people, like you and me. Misguided, yes. Violent sometimes. I agree with eugene - just play their game and you wont be tasered. If your drinking, smoking, get away from loud people, dont draw attention to yourself. You can be free and quiet at the same time. And the best place to smoke is always out in the open; nothing is more conspicous then a bunch of kids running out of the woods. Give em a wave, make them think you respect their authority, even if they are wankers.

My theory has always been that cops should only get one bullet and they should have it in their pocket. They'd think twice about wasting that one bullet. In Albany, there was a 24 year old killed by a stray bullet from the police - what a waste - and the guy they were after didn't even have a gun.

I always carry my eagle scout card with me, right next to my license - its helped me out once or twice...

I HATE PIGS. I had a bad experience with one today that I won't list, cause I was banned before for discussing my dislike of the police, or for launching a debate that resulted in a bunch of flaming, some of which was done by me. That's not legal now in some parts of the country. it doesn't matter what you did, and I don't even care or want to know. Short of hurting another human being their babylonian bacon asses shouldn't be being brutal. Whatever you did was probably non-violent, unless you attacked the policeman (which would be a shame because I missed the chance to join you). I completly agree. sadly, i have been arrested twice You just have to let the cops do their business, even if they're pricks. Mouthing off/disrespect doesn't get you anywhere. I know.
