You all are really trying to piss me off bad, so I'll be banned from the site again. If you want me banned that bad, why don't you PM Skip about my terrible talk about peace love and equality. Otherwise, I wouldn't get my hopes up cause I WILL NOT SNAP AGAIN. I am 100 percent aware of how much people on this site dislike my posts, and me as aperson (if that's possible cause this is the intetrnet). That's aight. Nobody has to like evreyone. But I have a right to be on this site, and I don't think deliberate provocation is aloowed. Make me lose my temper so I will be banned for good. I've heard a lot of Jewish and black jokes. Thought this was called the Hip Forums. Hip means cool. I figure a majority of the people on the site claim to be hippies, punks, metal-heads, ravers, hip-hoppers, etc. I think in most of those countercultures there is an element of respect for the individual, and for individuality, and a disdain for hatred (other than skinhead punkrockers). Do you all think Jimi and Jerry and John Lennon and Roger Waters and Bob Marley were racsist? No. From my understanding being a hippie back when being a hippie was real was just as much about not being prejudice and being individualistic and peace love and harmony, than it was about snorting cocaine and oxycontin and doing meth, and saying PEACE AND LOVE when you don't mean it (that was directed at this generation). Ever heard of Abbie Hoffman? As much as he got high, he also worked for justice for all people and would not have cracked a rascist joke about anyone. Oh, by the way Abbie Hoffman was Jewish. So were Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg. But I guess all you people just want to be hateful. Nothing I have said here was flaming against anyone, and once again I WILL NOT SNAP. If you really want me off the forums, I dare you anyone to say something that will make me snap and get me banned. I WON'T.

I think we're talking about different Hoffman man. The Abbie Hoffman I was referring to was a political activist during the 1960s that protested against war, racism, and sexism. there was a movie about him called "Steal This Movie", that was based upon a book he wrote called "Steal This Book".

You're right, Dylan did become a fundamentalist Christian. His music was good though. But he was born RObert Zimmerman (Jewish) in Hibbing Minnesota, and then moved to Duluth, and then went to New York CIty's Grewnwich village to be a folk singer. He didn't become a bible thumper or whatever until around 1970, after suffering a motorcycle accident, and retreating to a small farm house in Woodstock, NY where he congregated with The Band and starting making a less folky, more bluesy style music.

1. The story in my last post is not a joke, it's a a true story. I live in a little mountain town in california and I know about hicks, ie, barely literate, meth addicted, prejudiced, hyper religious...
I was using this anecdote to make fun of them (hicks), underlining their ignorance. The fact that they happened to be talking about Jewish people in it is just, I thought, an appropo coincedence that serves to illustrate how little they understand other cultures.
