The South Park movie is on right now; it exposes the idiocy of censorship. There are so many other episodes that stand out: Towlie, when the counselor starts doing drugs, the RIAA; the 25 most outrageous episodes are on all weekend, and I'm sure it will entail the best satire known to man kind.
I cant stand when mothers cnat get past the dirty languange and see that it has good life lessons and values. Matt and Trey are some of the smartest people in the TV industry.
What I like most about it is that no one can really be offended because they make fun of EVERYTHING...nothing is really left out in the jokes...
I really love South Park. It was really popular here in the UK a few years ago but it seems to have faded into obscurity again. Me and my brothers still watch it though. It's a pity no one watches it because the last few series have been great.
the first half of the current season was farily weak...im wating for the triumphant return of lemiwinks!
It's funny, the region of South Park is about a 5 hour drive from where I live (Fort Collins, Cartmen actually comes to the town square in one of the episodes) It's like the GTA series; how can so many people be angry at a brilliant work of satire? I mean, come on! Just listen to some of the commercials and talk shows!
It's fantastic, endlessly quotable: 'Screw you guys, I'm going home' 'I'm not fat I'm big boned' And my personal favorite: 'I would never kill somebody, not unless they pissed me off.' But the songs in the film are hillairious, 'Kyle's Mom's a Bitch' and 'I Can Change' Genius!
This show might single handedly be the absolutly best cartoon ever. What episode do you guys think is gonna be #1? I personally think it will be the 1 where Cartman tricks that guy into eating his own parents... "I made you eat ur parents! I made you eat your parents! Neh-neh-neh-neh-neh-neh!"
Ya, that's the one where Cartmen goes to Fort Collins. Personally, I love the episode where the Mr. Macky gets fired and starts doing drugs because of the satire about societies' view of them. The one with Towlie is also great, as it's also a satire about drugs. "Wait, where's the Otama GameSphere?" "Come on, I need my fix!" Then their impatience to get home and play the game... Funny stuff if you can spot it. My brother says that I just think about them as being drug referrences, but he's naive and couldn't spot satire if his life depended upon it.
cartman!! ahh!! the best character of all time! AWESOM-O 3000! "how about adam sandler...falls in love with this girl...but then..she like..turns into a golden retriever....or something." "brilliant! we'll call it 'puppy love'" LMAOlemmiwinks....on our james bond gamecube game, one of the player names is lemmiwinks! we love southpark! southpark forever!
Sorry to jump in here, but I can't really stand the show. Its not all the cussing, as that is my normal language regardless, lol. I guess I've always been a sucker for kick ass graphics(or animation) and good story lines, of which I think this show has neither. But then again I don't watch TV so who knows.
ah yes, Southpark. possibly the greatest show I've ever made. Towelie is thy god. The one episodee where they are looking for the GameSphere is my favorite, where he plays that song on the keypad. Haha. And I cant forget Lemmiwinks...and Mr Slave. those are the 3 greatest cartoon characters ever.
I'm a big fan of lush animation too, but for South Park I think the crude and minimalist artwork is part of the charm.
The Thanksgiving Day episode was on yesterday and I have to say that was by far one of the funniest things that I've seen in a while.
I loved the episode where they buy ninja toys and nearly kill Butter.s. I also liked the episode "You Got Served". Poor Butters
I have a rare bone marrow disease that prevents me from pronouncing the letter "t' in plane-arium favorite epidoe!
