It's been such a long time that I've read a really really good book, that I actually enjoyed and felt some what stimulated reading it. Any suggestions? I'm up for anything.
I have one for you! ~~The Shadow of the Wind~~ By Carlos Ruiz Zafon I thought this was spectacular. I think you may be able to read an abstract about it on amazon. Its kind of a mystery/thriller/love story.
Check out the trilogy by author Nick Bantock. The Griffin and Sabine books. Really cool fictional story written like a diary full of individual letters and maps kept by a woman who's lover is traveling the globe in search of inspiration for his paintings. Super cool the other books bantock does are also worth the read!
I would suggest Desert Solitare by Edward Abbey, The Divinci Code by Dan Brown, Anything by Tom Robbins or Jack Kerouac
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. I just read it and i really enjoyed it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060736267/qid=1135628342/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-4843717-2187321?n=507846&s=books&v=glance
I would say the Red Tent by Anita Diamant, it gives a new spin on one of the characters mentioned very briefly in the Bible and is all about her life and her mothers. It's really good, although maybe not for anyone whose really Christian as it does paint some of the Biblical characters in a not so positive light. I love the pagan aspects of it though, and the end is beautiful
