buying the right amount

so my friend is wondering how much he should buy for a first time? enough for a few joints, but not a lot so theres no stashing issues.
i have no idea about measurements and stuff, so can anyone help?

 

I'd say you need a (1/2) 1/8th or 1.7 grams.

 

yeah that seems good for 2 people, just ask for a "half eighth" if its alright weed that should go for about 20-30 dont pay more than 30, but if its good weed you can pay 35 for a half eighth of some GOOD weed.
