Hey I think the doors are one of the most underated/overshadowed jam bands in music history.

I'm just trying to find out if the Doors had a full time bass man or they had different bass players thoughout their studio carreer and shows? I really like the bass to all of their tracks and am trying to find out if the bass player(s) belonged to any other bands or side projects.

THey didn't have a bass player, ever. Just a keyboarder who did the bass parts.

sure they were a jam band. prime example: light my fire. they just had some eccentric poet with a shitty voice sing through their jams.

the three other guys were by all means a jam band. they made a connection as they jammed in search of the universal vibe.

manzarek did some of the bass lines in the studio.

Personally, I see the doors as more of a blues band than a jam band. Good tunes either way!
