Where might one find a good website on the teachings of the Eastern Orthodox movement? Does anyone know? When we studied Christianity in Religions of the West (a philosophy class I took last semester. Great class. I'm taking Religions of the East this coming semester), we occasionally discussed the difference between Catholicism and Protestantism, but nothing on the Eastern Orthodox Church. He just kind of mentioned it's existence and went onto something else. They had a lot of stuff on Wikipedia, but I don't really trust the things they say on that website.
http://www.religioustolerance.org/orthodox.htm I'll trust this site, but it is lacking in main beliefs and how they differ from RC Wikipedia is usually pretty good cause if someone puts up incorrect info, someone will usually come by and change it so it works out most of the time.
Hi! I'm an orthodox christian and I know many bulgarian sites about the Orthodoxy, but they have only bulgarian version... Sorry!
yes, Google is one of the best eastern orthodox websites there is also a seinfeld episode where one can learn lots about the eastern orthodox church... the latvian sect in particular
Lol. ReligiousTolerance.org is one of my favorite websites, but like you said, the problem is that it doesn't go into great detail. But I did like some of the essays they posted. Thanks for your help.
http://www.religionfacts.com/christianity/denominations/orthodoxy.htm http://www2.orthodoxwiki.org/Main_Page (not wikipedia, but a site about the Orthodox religion set up like wikipedia) http://www.goarch.org/ (from the Greek Orthodox of America archdiocese, alot of information on that site) I'm actually Orthodox myself, so thank you for showing interest in a major religion that's somehow almost unheard of in America lol, ah us crazy Americans.
