IronGoth, HHB, in my opinion you are both abosblute aresholes. IronGoth, because he supports a person who appears to be the biggest waster in these forums (yet he tells us young pot smokers that we are wasting our lives), and because, when, in my opinion, he is proven wrong, he still won't back down. From all his posts I have seen, I get the impression he clicks on a thread with an immediate mindset to be negative and cause an argument. And then he's telling us how great he is at weights... presumably, although he will of course deny it, as a threat. I don't know about you, IronGoth, but where I live, the UK, "or else" is always interpreted as a threat. People who usually show off their strength or threaten people physically over the internet are weak, insecure and extremely disliked people in reality.

The people who I have a lot of respect for, Twizz, TopNotchStoner etc. (you know who you all are), I'm backing you 100%.

As for the threadstarter, I like the guy. In fact, if I had to list my favourite members of these forums, his name would come to my mind first. And I detest all of you people who were mean and insulting to him. And IronGoth, even if to you "stupid" is not an insult, surely with your so-called intelligence, you could percieve that it is in fact very insulting to many others.

I simply meant that I don't pretend to be a hippie and I don't think concealed does either, so you don't have to worry about us crashing your rainbow gathering or whatever, as we have no interest in it. I have also never pretended to know every aspect about every strain or species of cannabis, sativa or indica. I could really care less as long as I'm stoned. Yes, I'm a stoner, not some fucking wannabe hippie.

I don't know you and I have no problem with you, but you made a comment earlier in the thread that had some negative implications toward my buddy concealed, so I responded. End of story.

I'm not the one who brought the shit up in the first place. You said something and I responded. No hostility required or intended. I was just defending concealedculture because you declared that he was not welcome at your rainbow gathering shin-dig.

I think the differences to lay persons might be a bit fuzzy so while I appreciate the correction I will likely still make the erroneous association between weightlifting and bench press here. Somehow I think the faux pas may be forgiveable in a marijuana forum where 99% of posters (conservative estimate) do neither so beyond the pedantic correctness of the distinction I find no value germain to this discussion beyond asserting that you know more than I do in the subject(s). I am as secure with the concept that your exercise vocabulary exceeds mine as I am knowing you can handily outbench me.

I am appreciative... I might very occasionally pick your brain in the exercise forum as I could always use help! I'm part of a couple weightlifting/powerlifting/bodybuilding forums and have been getting some good info there. Glad you recovered from the bike wreck-- your recovery could be a dividend of your lifting.

That was a very wise quote, except for the part about wanting to meet IronGoth. It's true that alcohol is much worse than weed, especially in the hands of parents. My dad is an alcoholic and crack addict, and it has basically ruined my young life because I haven't seen him in many years, and he only lives about one mile from my house. He chose the drugs and alcohol over me and my sister.

 

I find the need to throw my 2cents in here.....

first- the lables you guys use are amusing. I mean 'stoners unite' 'stoners against everyone else' yadda yadda whatnot. Just because someone doesn't post in the MJ forums.. doesn't mean they aren't a 'stoner' or smoke or anything like that. So I find it stupid for you all to assume anyone who isn't a regular here must not know anything about it. And yes... I said stupid. I wholeheartedly agree with Irongoth that sometimes you have to be blunt and call it like it is. I am stupid sometimes too. And I would rather someone be blunt with me and tell me how it is instead of sugarcoating it for my 'feelings' If I had continually been ripped off I would hope my friends would tell me I was stupid so maybe I would wake up and realize 'hey ya know maybe I am' instead of 'oh poor you those guys are assholes' making me think I'm not doing anything wrong.

 

There is a difference between calling someone "stupid" and saying that something they did was "stupid". Sure, MJP has done some stupid shit in the past, and I would never call HIM stupid, but I would certainly call some of his decisions "stupid".

 

I was never trying to say, "oh, poor things, they have been tred upon." If you think that, you didn't get what I was trying to say. I have been "yelled at" for even posting on this board, but I don't care.
I believe in Freedom of Choice for all matters, especially those dealing with someones's own body, and what they do with it. You bring children into a mess, and drugs are involved, then it's a problem. But if these are just a bunch of teens and college kids, who the hell am I to judge? College was alot of fun, and I graduated with honors and was accepted to advanced standing graduate school. So it never was an issue. Only when I didn't have any,ha,ha,hmmmm.
Anyway, I'm not saying "poor babies", but in all my experience, marijuana was NEVER ONCE the soul reason that I had a problem with them. Alcohol was always the issue, along with crack and others. TopNothch, I'm sorry about your Dad. Whena person becomes addicted to something like crack, the thought of being without it, i.e. being ill and in pain, makes them make the most irrational, unbelievably poor choices. I have seen men not only give up their families, but rob and steal from them, open their kids piggy banks, etc. It is terrible that he runined your early childhood. SOmetimes, and more times than I like to admit, I was happy when they finally made the choice of the drugs over their families and Left. The family can greive what will never be and go on. I hate to sound trite, but you know the saying, "It's Never too late for a Happy Childhood".....I'm trying.
