New Hare Krsna website with Prabhupada in the center

Hare Krsna!




We wish to announce the launch of the Radha Damodara temple in Montreal's website. With Srila Prabhupada in the center, website will feature articles about the science of Krsna consciousness, galleries from festivals and other events happening in the temple, interesting links and discussion forum.
Krsna consciousness is the ultimate path to liberation from the cycle of birth and death through the devotion to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krsna. It is not a dogma, or a set of beliefs, or a sect, but a genuine teaching coming in the disciplic succesion(parampara) and it is fully based on the ancient Vedic scriptures. Our humble attempt is to bring it to the wider audience in Montreal as well as all around the world. Our temple is not under any religious organization, or a movement. We simply try to preserve the pure message chalked out by our spiritual master A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and we sincerely believe that this is worth of our struggle.

i wonder why he didn't have this post in the "love and sex" forum since Krishna celebrated illicit carnal relationships with the gopis

 

No he didn't. You obviously have not read the bhagavatam, nor understood the mystical meanings in the stories.

 

Krishna did not meditate sitting in a full lotus on the banks of the yamuna... the mystical and the carnal are not two separate places

 

He also did not have sex with the gopis.

 

i've heard both he did and he didn't... i feel it to be a mute point as in if he did or if he didn't, it would have been divine either way plus there was enough of a disregard for conventional morality for him to be dancing in the midnight hours with these married women

and whatever Krishna is lacking in his exhibiting the sacredness of carnal acts, Shiva picks up the slack

 

Krishna is not a normal man that you can judge his morality, He is God- we should see him that way, the fact that gopis went to him shows devotion that a soul should have for krishna. It does not however mean that he had any material relationship with the gopis.

In fact, it is symbolic in that the gopis represent the souls everywhere in this creation to be females , God however is the supreme purusha and the only true masculine figure in his creation.

 

You cannot get "High" on krishna, however you can get very low without Him, haha and that is always very old.
